Default 2015 WRX (AT) factory OEM remote starter (no push start possible?)

guys, I have been googling this almost a week now and this is killing me... I have a 2015 WRX AT (Canadian sport package with NO push start button) as my daily driver. However, winter is coming soon, and I need to take my son to daycare early in the morning everyday. So I think it will be nice to have a remote starter to start the car early and have heating, defrogger on early (I see newer FXT has this feature with their remote starter).

The problem: I called several Canadian dealer in my area and they all told me the remote engine starter is only available for top trim with push start button

I found some US shops are selling "H001SFJ600" which seems to be working with 2015 WRX AT with no push start button required. (http://techinfo.subaru.com/proxy/734...130718Rev0.pdf)

Can someone confirm if this i true? IF yes, why the heii Canadian dealers don't know anything about it? or this is only available for US 2015 WRX AT model and not compatible with Canadian model?

Thanks for your comment in advanced.

You could just go to any car audio/alarm shop and have them install one for half the price of the dealer option.

I've seen some places offer as low as $100 for remote start aftermarket option.

Had my 14 Impreza sport installed with a Viper5901, 2way pager keeps my mind at ease while I'm inside or at work.

Just remember, remote start only warms the engine so you get heat right away when you get in. It does not warm up the transmission or the trans fluid. You should still drive easy for the first 5 miles or so to let the trans warm up as well.

Edit:

Just did some searching and found this thread here. Seems some vehicles will warm the trans fluid in park and others need to be in neutral. Not sure how the CVT in the 15s works but a quick inspection of the owners manual should shed some light on it.

Thanks guys, I was thinking about getting "Advacned keys" from SMY performance to have both push start button and remote engine starter as alternative. Unfortunately the installation looks kind of complicated for amateur like me and I got quoted $500+taxes for installation (5-6h). Therefore, the total is nearly 1200 (ouch!)... Should have gone Sports-tech at the beginning ()

I will keep searching
