that looks phenomenal. You really are doing an excellent job...patience is key I guess. No need to rush more than a couple panels a day. I too want to know if you're pulling panels or not...there is a matte white thread going on right now too and he mentioned how he was pulling. I can see it being easier as you can wrap the vinyl around the back so it is seamless from the outside...how are you handling that?

thanks!

i took the bumper and headlights out then wrapped the fenders while still on the car.

the only parts i pulled off the car would be the rear spoiler, front bumper, hood scoop. when i get to them i will pull the side skirts, back bumper, door handles. everything else is wrapped still on the car and just trimmed and tucked

Thats gonna look so sick when its done. plus it will look sick when you take it all off and you have an immaculate car underneath years after you bought it.

Damn you, I just had that "thought" in my head. You know, the one that goes, "I wonder what my SWP hatch would look like in matt black?" Damn you, lol.

I've read about the 3M clear bra material and how it's rated for up to 7 years or so, but how does this material match up?

Just to be clear, is this the roll you picked up?
http://www.metrorestyling.com/Produc...e=MATTE1080M12

I've been poking around, but I can't find any hints regarding how long the material lasts. Also, is it completely opaque and provide about as much protection from dings/chips as the clear bra?

P.s., It looks AWESOME.

the 3M material is amazing, when i wrapped my forester i used arlon vinyl which had to be applied wet. it was a nightmare, this material lets you do virtually anything you want and its impossible to get air bubbles

Looks impressive so far and I'm just curious to see what it looks like when you're done. I've always wondered what the 11 hatch would look like in this color and now because of you I can see, thank you.

Ha ... me too

I just wonder how funny it would look with a door or hood open

I've never seen pictures of that, & would be interesting to see.

its doesnt look that weird on mine since it was DGM to begin with, the only strange part is that parts are high gloss inside

maybe it's just me, but the car just looks like it has a layer of primer in it, and is on its way to be painted.

but interesting project
