How well does the vinyl cover up rock chips, especially the small ones that crater the front bumper.

if you have chips and stone marks it will show with the vinyl, but its and easy fix, you can get a cheap filler of some sort and then vinyl over it

Fixed the tails, now matches the little reflectors on the bottom.

It's tinted vinyl, I'll do the spoiler light soon.

if anyone in the socal are is interested i am open to wrapping your car as well.

i worked out a deal with my vinyl guy that would be $2000 fully installed with 3m 1080 scotchprint in the following colors. Matte black, matte grey, matte white, matte army green. there are other color options as well but they would run a little bit more depending on the vinyl availability and material cost.

this would run well over $3300 at a shop

if your interested or have any questions feel free to e-mail me at matteyourride@gmail.com

i ended up re-wrapping the hood and fenders (they where the first peices i wrapped with this new material and i didnt know at the time you shouldnt pull the material at al really when its warm)

ended up wrapping them without even plugging in the heat gun, 1080 scotchprint is so easy to work with its crazy.

so this isn't CF vinyl, it's just strait black matte vinyl? Would you be able to share what brand? (Assuming it's 3M)

Editors note - I just learned to look at an entire post, not just pics, and noticed the answer in line 2 of the OP. My bad

Looks amazing man!

I have my roof vinyl'd with gloss black, and just trying to do that myself sucked. I can't vinyl worth crap lol.

If I had those kind of skills for it I'd wrap my whole car in a heartbeat.

How many times have you wrapped a vehicle before?

How hard is this to attempt on ones own and what is the cost for DIY. I got quoted almost $3k to do my TBSS when i had it.

Gloss would be harder than matte or satin im sure. especially gloss black.

this is the second full wrap i have done, though i used a cheaper vinyl last time which had to use a liquid solution during application.

its one of those learn as you go things, and it really depends on your level of patience.

$3k for a professional full wrap sounds correct, the material alone can easily top $1.5k and the amount of labor is heavy(dis-assembly of car, vinyl application, re-assembly)
