Default Where do you store your non-DD motorsports car?

I'm particularly interested in knowing where people in dense metro areas or high cost real estate areas are storing their non-dailydriven motorsports car. I'm sure rich people can afford a mega house or a car-condo but I'm wondering what us "the masses" are doing (assuming you have a nonDD car).

In my trailer. Hopefully I'll get my garage built soon and it'll go there. I live in the country though. Dense metro areas don't understand racing.

I rent a garage in my apartment complex and they have an RV park in the back where the trailer goes.

I have my car between the driveway and garage depending if another one needs in the garage. Trailer and tow vehicle sit in the driveway with the DD bugeye beater.

In the shady depths of what used to be a booming industrial area of Cleveland.....

I take comfort in knowing I can get an ice cold 40oz across the street and an 8ball just about anywhere within walking distance.... :/

Wouldn't a better question be where do people store the truck and trailer they use to tow said non-DD motorsports car to motorsports events?

Actually, yes, that too.

However, looking at all the various events, there are still a lot of people who drive the car to/from the event with a set of different wheels stuffed in the trunk.

I rent a parking spot for the trailer. Store the car in the trailer about 90% of the time, and the garage the other 10% of the time when I need to do something to it.

Whenever we build a new house though, I have plans for a 30x30 detached to store both. Maybe one day...

Car is in the garage. Trailer is in a rented space in a storage lot.

A friend of mine kept his car in the trailer and the trailer at a storage facility. The truck/tow rig was his DD. My roommate keeps his track toy in the garage, rents a trailer when necessary, and DD's the tow rig (which parks in the street).

Store the car(s) in either my garage or shop. Store the truck/trailer rig in the shop. The key is not to live in a densely populated area...

I store the car at a rented garage. Big 2 bay. My father uses half for inventory for his electrical business and the other side has the race car and my mothers Mini Cooper (parked sideways). The open trailer is parked beside the garage at home. I use my fathers van for towing.

I used to keep the car on the open trailer at home, but that's when the car was still registered and insured. I no longer have any coverage on the car. I also don't have any proper windows, so it has to be kept inside.

I should add what my a friend of mine did... he installed a lift into his garage and stores his track car up at the ceiling (and parks a DD under it).

Sometimes the rally car lived under a snowbank, sometimes in the barn. Now there's a '68 Volvo and the g/f's '72 sailboat competing for space so it's even more interesting.

Haul truck n trailers play musical vehicles around my 2 driveways, it seems like they're always always underfoot. DD Subie RS typically wins out for easiest access. Oh yeh, forgot about the 20-foot powerboat that needs to be moved too.

Um, on second thought it's evident that I am in need of a vehicular intervention. ((head banging smiley goes here))

custom open trailer, made low and short so it's parked in the garage with the track car on it. DD is the truck/tow vehicle, not ideal but living in a suburb with no on street parking we ran out of room.... race car on trailer in the garage, motorbike and tools on the other side of the double garage, wifes car and the truck parked in the driveway end to end, condo downstairs parks their car on the other half of the driveway.

I have my car and bikes(3) in the garage. I don't live in a dense metro area, but I did let me roommate get the master so I could have the whole garage. It works out nicely

Driveway half the year, and in an old mill building filled with other gear heads' cars the other half. Too tight to do much work in, but its heated and secure.

One is on my lift in my shop, one is under it, and a few beside them, and some other stuff in the trailers. The toys are even taking over parking at my house. Good thing I don't have a wife. I park my tow rig outside though. Poor tow rig.
