Well Bit ones have there issues and the new mini DSP 2(in) x 8(out) still has weak outputs and requires a laptop for any tunning and is kinda big and not in a box at all. SO your left with a Carputer or the usual suspects.

Heres the new update.
I think I finally found a compromise between aesthetics and functionality. I like they way the look a lot better, however they are slights off from optimal positioning. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

lookin' good Aaron! I like the new pillar.
Observations: 1. the 9855 has 3-way active built in (sub, mid, high) with dedicated T/A on each RCA. 2. the 9855 has crossovers for 2-way or 3-way 6-12-18-24db 3. the 9855 has 5-band Parametric or 7-band Graphic EQ Are you using the MS8 to go full active every speaker has its own channel and therefore its own processing (EQ & T/a)? What is the cost of the Ms8? and have you purchased it already? I'm just thinking in terms of functionality &/or cost... why not a a PXA-h701? If you're not using rear fill, the PXA will work more seemlessly with the 9855. Just tossing it out there. curious as to your choice of the MS8, especially given its track record. Rob |

new version of the h701 is a ghost until further notice. It still doesn't change that they all have no more than 8 channels of processing and the SQ factor many argue between the H701 and the Ms-8/Bit-1 is bogus. Sorry 95% of the world won't hear it...
If the H800 ever hits the real world I will be the first to step up... a W910 Double DIN and a kick butt processor.. I'm all in... till then... no thanks... Rob |

I love how the 910/800 uses a proprietary 160$ optical cable... yay.. on top of everything else...
The MS8 is a no brainier (literally) for most.. I mean, throw it in, hit start, follow instructions and have good sound... IF it doesn't crap the bed first... meh.. I say what difference does it make.. I've got all the ability in the world, but am I ever going to compete?? maybe.. maybe not.. depends on a lot of things... big factor is I don't have A/C, so how do I keep the car cool? lol.. Meh.. processors.. |

Im not dead set on the MS-8 but it looked appealing since it would be quick to setup and tweak because of my amps location it will be hard to tweak and change. However I am not dead set on the MS-8 so im open to suggestions.
Here are the recent updates...had to fix a few things so I didn't make as much progress as I wanted, but hopefully I will catch back up today or tomorrow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sweet....
Once question, is that for a single 10 or 12? Ok, 2 questions... Do you have any idea of volume on that, cause it looks HUGE for a single sub... I mean HUGE... Looks great so far... |

That's for a single ten. But you have to take into account the sub displacement and I'm going to do all 30 inches of porting internally as well which will be a ton of volume. If I end up over on my final volume I can always make the box smaller ..... Not so easy to get bigger =)
