Default AP v1 replacement cable?

Anyone knows where you can source a replacement cable (OBDII ---> AP or USB) for cheap?

Thanks,

Which version of AccessPORT do you have? The black brick v1 AccessPORTs used a proprietary cable that is not USB compatible. These are also no longer available as all parts for these units have ceased production some time ago. If you have a color-screen v2 AccessPORT with the gray "dongle" connector, those we have replacements for these. If you just need the USB cable, any one will do, it is just a device to computer cable. You can order replacement parts from us directly at 1-866-922-3059!

I am talking about version 1 (black brick). I've used cable from version 1 AP to do data logging by plugging into my laptop using an adapter. Not sure why you would say it's not USB compatible? Many people have been using them for years without any problem.

You can do the USB to serial port adaptor bit but if you are looking for the OBD cable, that was a serial style port. So I guess in a round about way this is somewhat USB compatible but not in a direct "native" sort of way. That said, these cables are no longer available and we have no more stock. You can upgrade your AccessPORT by sending in your v1. We will give you a $200 credit towards the purchase of a brand new v2! Give us a call at 1-866-922-3059. Please let us know if you have any questions!
