Default Misfiring on all 4 Cylinders, looking for ideas/advice.

Hey all,
Trying to pinpoint an issue that's a little tricky!
Lets start with some quick info:
2005 WRX STi, 105,000 Miles.
Car drove fine one day, and then, abruptly one morning decided to "chug" and then throw the CEL light on.. Access port reported misfire on all 4 cylinders, and now when driving the car, it idles roughly, and "chugs" intermittently.. (feels like hitting fuel cut but not as aggressive.)

So far my mechanic has:
Replaced the plugs (oem)
Done a leak down test (Came out great)
Checked the gas for water
Checked the crank sensor
Confirmed that it's not the altenator
Confirmed that it's not the battery (though I need a new one)
Reflashed ECU with Cobb AP2.0

Next gonna test for the camshaft sensors, though wouldn't it only toss half the cylinders if one was bad? (Don't think they'd both die out at the same time.)

Only other thing I could think of is maybe a vacuum leak somewhere?
I haven't had a chance to discuss that in length w/ my mechanic yet...

Only mods to the car are turbo-back, and AP2.0 running off the shelf stage 2 91octane, by the way...
Any thoughts, ideas or experience with the same issue would be appreciated!

(ps yes I searched; all other threads either didn't have the answer or were inconclusive in one way or another! )

Check the knock sensor. One time I had this happen and the bolt holding the knock sensor was loose resulting in it picking up crazy readings.

Of all things, apparently the wire mesh on my air filter managed to chafe its way through a harness wire!?

Glad it's fixed either way, thanks for reading kids!
That being said, for the records (if anyone ever uses that search feature I've heard so much about.) and you happen to have a cone type filter on the car... mines a TXS... Check around it for abrasion!

Thanks for looking and everything!

Glad to hear it was a simple fix! All four cylinders misfiring would definitely scare me a bit.

I couldn't agree more. As soon as I saw an "issue" with all 4 cylinders I would be relieved instantly knowing it's gotta be a simpler fix than an issue with just 1 cylinder like you mentioned.

Default All 4 cylinders misfire

Hey guys my 2006 sti had started jumping and misfiring recently. didn't throw a CEL at first now it has. When it first started doing it, it wasn't so bad now its doing it in low RPMs and more when im making a turn and its a quite bit rougher as well. Replaced all spark plugs changed some coil packs, checked harness and wires going to coilpacks, and changed the tune. What do you guys think?
Mods are Invidia N1 exhaust and downpipe, COBB SF intake, and stage 2 tune off the shelf with the accessport.

Does it run better now? Can't tell you what I think without that info!

What a first post... have you tried reflashing your map? And what is the CEL?

No it doesn't run better. Sorry I left that out. Yes I reflashed it and nothing. But the CEL reads a misfire in all 4 cylinders.

having this same issue with my 02 wrx. butu was also getting the egt code. easy fix for that was the 2.2 resistor from radio shack. but still have my misfire codes in all 4 cylinders. Read on a forum on her of someone having the same issue and it came out to be his diff that was throwing everything out of wack
