Question Im Visiting Chicago - Need restaurant Suggestions

I am taking a trip to Chicago later on in March and would like to hear some suggestions - if anyone has any - for a nice, romantic place to go out to eat. I have not determined what type of food yet, so all suggestions are welcome. Price is not too important either. Something quaint, candles, wine, etc etc. Fire away!

Thanks in advance!

They're not "quaint" places, but really good food include Avec, The Publican, Mirai if you like sushi. A more "formal" place would be Boka which has a Michelin Star.

For Tapas, I like "People" better than Cafe Iberico on Milwaukee.

Signature room on the 95th floor is a good one. You can also go to Hugo frogs/Gibson's. Best seafood and steak.

Sapori Trattoria amazing upscale Italian. Great vibes romantic and in Lincoln Park. Not to far from the Apollo theatre for a good show afterwards. I highly recommend this place. Outstanding service food and ambience. Five Stars in my book. Request to eat upstairs.

Default More good eats

Also if your out in the day or at night and want great casual I absolutely recommend Portillos the best Italian Beef and Chicago dogs in the area in a great fun environment right off the Mile. Serve good beer also. Otherwise check out Goose Island Brewery, The Weber Grill, Lawry's, so many to choose.

Not really a Chicago specific place... but my favorite place in the city is Fogo de Chao. Holy ****, it's a meat lover's paradise.

Wait, wha.....Port.........best beef, good beer!?! Oh, Milwaukee, gotcha. Try Mr. Beef on Orleans next time.

Anyways, romantic: Geja Cafe(yes, fondue!) or Japonais

We had a meal at Les Nomades last spring. Some of it was spectacular; some just excellent, though not particular inspiring. Worked for me overall; would go back for sure.

I though the atmosphere was a good balance of attentive and refined without the snooty. Felt "special", but the service was graceful and focused on what I wanted - not what the staff thought I should want.

I second Fogo de Chao, amazing Brazilian steakhouse. They have an excellent salad bar, great service and a fun yet upscale atmosphere.

Merlo on Maple.

High end Northern Italian in a gorgeous old house in the Gold Coast. The upstairs dining room is the nicest, so ask for that.
