When we strapped the car down today and started to do a pull on the dyno she started smoking bad, Turbo has blown seals. Makes boost now though. Your old one has cracks everywhere on the exhaust side, very odd actually.

Did you get a professional inspection when you bought it?

I don't think you can rebuild ihi turbos but you can look it up and see what you find out, I would contact blouch and ask them if it's possible.

Just looked it up you can rebuild them but they do not make rebuild kits for them but you have your old Turbo that has good seals and the new one that doesn't you could send both to blouch to rebuild the new one with the old ones seals.

Honestly I would suggest this over trying to rebuild it because who knows how long used seals would last

If you still want to rebuild it check out blouch's website

Hows the power band and reliability of it? Can it be an OEM replacement or do I have to change injectors and stuff?

You don't have to change injectors, but you'd be missing a good portion of the power. It has spool very similar to a stock turbo, but produces on average 30-40WHP more than stock. FP makes a good one. They are as reliable as any stock turbo IMO.

You can always buy the 68 and tell Jared that you want to stay on stock injectors til you can upgrade later. It should feel close to stock with stock injectors and it's cheaper than a Brand new vf Turbo
