I guess it would depend on how competitive you are in STS...because it sounds like you are a lock on FSP..and go for the contingency

as long as you're not running national events run STS if you feel comfortable. People are petty enough at a national level to protest your ass out of STS

That was the reason for submitting my questions regarding the 4EAT and the ST rules. The ST committee felt it was a non-issue, the car was legal for ST, so protesting it would be a mute issue. I wonder if I can compete in two classes at once?

Compete in two classes at a single event? No, once per driver.

Now one car at an event can compete in any classes it is eligible for, but only one class per driver. It's fairly common at divisionals to see on car campaign AP and EM both, for example.

FSP is going to be home to well-prepared VWs and others. I wouldn't waste the money on R compounds & wheels, just run good street tires in STS and have fun.

Post FSP or STS?

Well everyone the Impreza OBS will be in FSP this season and the AWD 4EAT is legal for STS. That is the word from Howard Ducan @ SCCA. Now the question is should I compete in FSP or STS. My mods are v5 springs, AGX, 18MM sway bar, F/R endlinks, and Kuhmo 712's 205/55/15. In my region (DC, Baltimore) I dont expect much Scooby competition in FSP, they will probably be in STS this season.
