Winter mode.

Summer setup:

Plasti-dipped the stock wheels white. I think they came out pretty good, overlapped onto the tire too much so there's alot of white still in the tire lettering. Should come of with some scrubbing.

^ I kno, right!

Btw, plasti-dipping is ridiculously easy. All I did to prep was clean the wheels. No masking is necessary (the wheels were already off the car), just overlap each layer onto the sidewall, just not as much as I did. White requires more coats than say, black, since the stock wheel's gunmetal is pretty dark and will show through unless coated well. I used 4 cans and prbly could have used a 5th.

After the last coat, I waited a couple hours and simply peeled off the over spray on the tire. Most of it came off very nicely, but since I went a bit too high on the sidewall and didn't mask anything, some plastidip remained in the tire lettering. I guess I could do the same thing on the NT-03s to see how they'd look in white

I'd love to see those NT-03s in white. My friend has a red s2k with white NT-03s and they look like sex.

I decided to buy an Invidia catted downpipe for a decent price from the FS section... I also picked up a Grimmspeed heat shield and new turbo to downpipe gasket. I've set aside some time on Friday for installation.

Although I have bought everything I need (will get a Torqued Performance stage 2 map soon), I am a little on the fence about going stage 2. Here's why:

(-)I've heard people say the jump in power/butt dyno from stock to TP stage 1 is much bigger than TP stage 1 to stage 2

(-)I don't want to run into boost creep due to my AEM intake and the winter coming up

(++) Everything else I've heard about stage 2 is that it's awesome!

So I've pretty much made up my mind but the first two points kinda have me thinking.

I'm actually in VA, Alexandria. The Feals are very nice. I really like them, no complaints at all. Did you not decide what you're going with?

Not really, tbh. I figured I'd see what Eric from TP could do with my tune. If I get creep I'll just lose the intake I guess.

Speaking of stage 2, I went TP stage 2 today. So far feels very nice. More thoughts with pics and Virtual dyno screenshots soon.

Whoops.. Sorry. I assumed MD..

I have not decided yet. I procrastinate alot and I'm cheap it sucks.

I will definitely be getting something after winter! These stock struts (with Prodrive Springs) are at 96k miles and on their last leg.. :/

Well I don't have any virtual dyno plots, but Eric from Torqued Performance helped me get my stage 2 tune where I wanted it and it really feels nice. I was worried it wouldn't be a big jump from stage 1, but I was wrong. The car pulls much better and sooner than before. I had my Invidia catted downpipe and Grimmspeed heat shield installed at Ptuning in Manassas, VA. Nice shop.

And this is where all my stickers go

Awesome car man, I love your coilover/ wheel setup very clean. Do you ever come out to the hard times meet in springfield? I'd love to check out your car. Also if you're looking for meets in the area join my website modmeets.com. Basically I just want to look at your car in person because I'm debating a similar setup

Hey, thanks I really like my wheel + suspension setup right now too.

I went to the kingstowne meet maybe twice but wasn't really feeling it, there were tons of people with imports and bikes... had a ricey feel and one time a dude asked me if I wanted to race I didn't know anyone so I haven't gone back or checked out the Springfield meet.

I'd def be down to stop by and show you how my car is setup, although I won't have my summer setup on till it gets a bit warmer. Maybe in a couple months

Would love to hear how the Feals hold up over the winter months. The only thing stopping me from buying them is that I dont want to worry about them seizing up because of the salt and such. Dont want to have to take them off every winter.

I was worried about that too. I just hit the threads with some WD-40 while putting the winter wheels on and I'm hoping with some cleaning in a couple months they'll free up. I'll update again when I swap wheels and inspect the threads
