I have several very good sources for you. I am in Indy and will be moving to Elkhart in April. There are 2 great tracks close to you.
I have run for 2 years at Putnam. I have taken 2 drivers schools there. Both tracks have links to drivers schools in their sched. pages. Gingerman is only about 1 1/2 hrs north of you in Southhaven MI. I cant wait to run my 911 and my new WRX at Gingerman. Also you can run with and get drivers schools from both Porsche and BMW clubs. They will let you run other cars at their events. I am actually looking forward to running with the Porsche club with WRX. Tire Rack in South Bend also can get you in contact with different clubs, track events and drivers schools. Have fun and enjoy. But remember this is more addicting than any drug in the world and it is more expensive too. I will forever spend all I can on the cars and track events http://www.putnampark.com http://www.gingermanraceway.com [This message has been edited by rsr911 (edited February 24, 2001).] |

I highly recommend the Evolution Performance Driving school. The website is here . I went o one in Virginia this month and it was very good for autocross skills.
They have one in May in Merrillville, IN. They are typically sponsored by some local club, so you will have to find them and get signed up. It is probably less than $200 for a 1 day course. You'll get tons of seat time. |

Hey man! Thanks for the information. I was thinking about going to Tire Rack to ask but never got around to it. When you get here in April we should hook up and do this together. I have a 99 RS that will be Turbocharged by then so I want to learn how to DRIVE IT!!! I can even take on your WRX for the fun of it
Give me a call when you get into town and we can do lunch or something. Thanks- Elliott King** 219.243.0443 or 219.220.6441 |
