Default Dealer flash over Cobb

I recently purchased a 2009 STi that had a Tsudo turbo back exhaust and a Cobb Stage 2 tune. The exhaust was too loud (for me) and I decided to put the stock exhaust back on with an SPT cat-back. I replaced the exhaust and when I plugged in the AP, I got a blank screen. I will have to send it to Cobb to have the display replaced. In the meantime, I have the wrong maps for the exhaust on the car. My question is if the dealer can reflash to the stock maps and if so, is it safe to drive the car (tamely) 10 miles to the dealer with the Stage 2 maps that are in it.

The dealer can't reflash back to stock.

Driving it tamely *MAY* be ok, but also *MAY* cause damage. It should be fine if you stay out of boost and are capable of monitoring things like AFR and EGT. (Air fuel ratios ad exhaust gas temp if you're not familiar.)

EDIT: I just saw you were asking specifically about driving the 10 miles to the dealer. Yea, that'll be fine, just don't drive like a crazy person.

Call them first and ask about reflashing over your map, however I'm 98% positive that they can't.

why not keep the downpipeon your car and the spt catback. see if you like the sound. then you can stay stage 2. the dealer cant revert back to the stock map. you need the accessport for that.

This is sound advice.

The downpipe won't change the sound of your exhaust much.

Thanks for replies. I have already replaced the exhaust with new gaskets. I have a beater I can drive, but just wanted to know my options.

Actually - that is a really good suggestion. It looks like the Tsudo downpipe does not use the lead ring seal to the catback like the stock system does. I'm going to study it a little more, but if the SPT catback will mate to the Tsudo downpipe, that may be the ticket.

If the SPT uses the donut gasket, and the downpipe does not, there's an adapter you can order (I think grimmspeed sells one) that will allow you to attach the two.

I checked the Grimmspeed site and you are correct. Thanks again!
