Default Painting brake calipers

Hi,

I want to paint my brake calipers in red. However, for the front ones, there's a "SUBARU" legend on them.

I was thinking on painting them all red and them put this decals on it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/SUBARU-BRAKE-CAL...item2c5d87f817

But I'm worried about the fact that with heat on a track day or race, the decals would melt or something even more dangerous.

What do you think? Any personal experience?

Personally wouldn't bother, when I painted my calipers just got a decent brush and took my time painting them white, all it takes is a steady hand and bit of patience.

I have 2 sets of 4/2 pots and just painted over the rear decal and bought those same decals from the UK though and asked the guy if he could just send me 4 rears. My fronts have the raised letters SUBARU on them so I spray painted over those then painted white after. Kind of tough to do with lots of touching up but it looks nice.
I haven't actually applied the rear decals yet but pretty sure it will go on just fine. Also note that calipers never get very hot in my opinion. I didn't even use caliper paint so I'm sure vinyl stickers will hold. And they're made for high heat too I thought.

I heard the RX7 guys take a dremel and grind down the letters to a shiny metal then clear coat it (for the raised letter fronts).
