Post Indy F-1 GP

Is anybody going to Indy F-1 this year? I ordered my tickets a while back. I went last year and had a great time. Also, are their any JV fans out there? He is a very good driver, which he proved in his first two years of F-1. Nobody seems to speak of him...

My tickets are ordered, but I've yet to hear anything about them. If they come through, I'll be there!

I'm going all three days. I got my race ticket confirmation letter yesterday. They don't mail the tickets out till about 4-weeks before the race. I like how they charged my credit card back in October 2000 though. God it's nice to live 40 minutes from the track.

I am originally from East Central Illinois, so I will just go back and stay with my father, and make the 1 hour and twenty minute drive each of the three days. I am looking very forward to the race. What seats did you order? I ordered 75 dollar seats. I know that I sound cheap, although those seats (North Vista) gave me a great view last year. Also, we get to see plenty on the practice and qualifying days, unlike overseas.

I will be there! Back in section J right by turn 1 again. I didn't get mt confirmation yet though, but I'm sure it'll come soon.

I can't wait to hear those engines again. What an ungodly noise!

I will be back. I have'nt ordered tix yet. I will be back. I really enjoyed the view from the mounds in the infield. you could get quite close and it was a bit more like road racing as I know it. Hope the weather sunday is nicer.

Where specifically can i order these tickets?

You can contact the Indy track people at 1 (800) 955-INDY, visit their web site at http://www.usgpindy.com or you can MAIL (via US Postal service) an application to:

SAP United Stated Grand Prix
PO Box 29415
Speedway, Indiana 46224

Please be aware that getting tickets is the easy part. The hard part is finding a cheap place to stay. Hotels aren't cheap.

One possible alternative is to book your tickets through www.gptours.com , and they can book a room for you in Cincinati Ohio, and bus you in and out of Indy.

...Opps ! According to their web site:

SAP United States Grand Prix tickets may be purchased by calling (800) 822-4639 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.

Ticket order forms are available on the Web at www.usgpindy.com or by writing to :
USGP Tickets,
P.O. Box 24915,
Speedway, IN 46224.

Heck, I ordered the tickets so long ago I don't even remember what sections I had listed and in what preference. I will probably be staying with a bud up in Chicago and then driving down. I'm hoping to make all three days, but I'll have to wait and see.

I cant wait to got to this years race! I went last year, sat in the third row, just to the right of the start/finish line. What a blast that was! This year should be much better now that we know what we are doing and where we are going. I havent gotten my conformation letter yet though.
