In a way, yes. I shift violently. I destroyed an 04 STi trans, and hurt an 05. Within 10k miles, my 04 STi trans would not engage 1st or 2nd, and I had to force every gear with horrible grinds. That was after 5-6 track sessions

I probably have over 300 passes on this trans, so far so good.

Roly

I'd consider for sure. As is, the car will go 11.45 in 80-90 degree weather. 40 degrees, 11.3. You weigh 120lbs less, think maybe an 11.19??

Damn-it!! Now I'm becoming a bench racer

Let me know when your back in the tri-state Roly. Maybe we'll meet up for a few passes on a Friday night or something.

I'll have the car even more dialed in

I said the same thing a page back , might consider letting go my cf driveshaft here pretty soon too, ill let ron or you know if I do, because it sounds like you both want one.

I wanna hold a record for a lil while, too bad it wouldn't be in my own car

I think an 11.3 in 40 degree weather is very do-able. Not enough room for 10's as it sits now though.

Thanks man. When I read this post, I scratched my head because you have a WRX. The record was for a stock turbo STi. I did not even realize there were 0 VF cars in any body style that have not gone faster than 11.6.

So I have 2 records With your 5 speed and 120+ traps, 11.00 is knocking at the door.

Yeah i'm pretty excited to see the results. New tune on E85 and some weight reduction. Just hope my trans will hold the launch.

Congrats man, and great driving. Godspeed.

Guy knows his stuff and one of the greatest tuners I've seen in years for Subes hands down.

Where you been man? I got a new clutch and external dump to put in on Saturday night. @ 147k on the Odo. I'm going for the stock block high mileage record.

It will man, I have not broken one yet (09-11). If you broke the trans, I would be very surprised.

A lot of work to be done tomorrow in PA and NJ. Im hoping to be finished in the early evening. I have 35lbs more coming out of the car tomorrow, and the DA's are going to be the best they have been since April.

Going for gold, new goal is 11.399. Just talked to Josh at IIR, looks like carbon driveshaft and lightweight wheels to come.

I can't imagine what this car is going to feel like with a stock location 30R on e85, as I dont think Ill be going bigger than that for a while. My T60r has found a new home under a friend's hood, perhaps permanently.

Mikey Backed up a 11.5 with an 11.5, Roly a 11.6 with 11.6s, Adrain a 11.6 with 11.6s, CJ backed up his passes, I backed up my 11.7s with 11.7s..
Down backed up his 11.7 with a 12.1.. I'm not talking ****, I know sometimes its tough to back up a perfect pass.. but in reality when you set a "record" you usually have to back it up

I'm with CJ on this though.. Mikey just motivated a bunch of people to step up there game. I think this fall will be fun at the track

well junior

remember me and Ed were so way ahead on this VF series game, that no one way even dared to attempt pushing the stock turbo to its limits, during that time

while me and Ed was completely going in the unknown area, where no one i heard of has gone before, i mean we started to push the stock to 25psi back in 2006, i dont know any one else tryed to attempt that, due time people learn how to mess around with subys

i even got flamed from different tuners and lots of members for running a MBC ( its not a pos DSM ) lol, running the vf39 to pass 20psi ( whichs supposely makes no more power ) with that said, its just shows you how much of a rookie the subaru community at that time

when you guys attempted this you guys had plently of head room, KNOWNING THAT where your going, someone has gone before, now there so much information, so much new RnD, so much new option

Suby owners jus lacks of Balls, they rather stick to something that has been done before rather than take a chance and try something new

but yea subys are finnally getting up there

no sure but

doenst CornFed still have the fastest VF39?

? Not to detract from your 11.7.... but im pretty sure a few of us old heads on here were pushing vfs back in 01-03 before the sti was even released here. Few guys were in the 11s on them with spray on 2.0s.. I had a customer going 12.2s@112-114 in 05 with a vf ... people got bored of that ****, and started going to faster setups. Im not saying you didn't accomplish something cause u did.. but it wasn't some pioneering movement. You motivated the newer crowd to push the lil Turbo harder.. **** your spot on that list was my motivation .. go faster then the STIs in a 3500lb vf39 Forester.

Jr

Ps

Mikey do work baby .. get those 11.20s

I just wish I could get my car as light as you guys are able to. Mikey's is lighter than Anorexic's if I read everything right, and granted, he pulled the passenger and rear seats.

My 02 wrx with a m6 is 3220 without me - I just cant figure out where to drop 400+ lbs!

My car would feel fast if I could, lol.

Nice reply without elaborating.

He said he's at 3075 with driver, which would be 2820 without. AnorexicSTI was at 2800 with a cf driveshaft, and a good bit more miscellaneous items removed, but still the full interior appearance, except for the passenger seat.

I need to weigh my car again since Ive changed some things. I'd be happy to get to 3000 without driver.
