Mikey do work baby .. get those 11.20s

Jr., wow you're getting nice as you age!

I still don't get how this guy thinks because he ran one pass at a certain time that was never backed up within 3/10th's for how many years has led the way with anything. He states if anyone he would give it to stimikey? Does he not realize roly ran his multiple 11.6's a while back?

Maybe once in for all this guy will understand this. People in this type of game don't stay at one level. 95% of people who get into the modding bug upgrade right away. Not because they don't see potential in a vf turbo, but because they want more and more. Everyone gets the itch!

To keep saying that this is ground braking work back in the day using an mbc or the trials/tribulations he went through with multiple set-ups, yadda, yadda. Though he's had basically an intake, mbc, tbe and a tune.

I guess I should proclaim myself some sort of pioneer as well just because I ran an 8cm 20g, mbc, tune, tbe back in the summer of 2006 on my 05sti.

Or maybe because then I upgraded to an fpred a few months later, alky, etc., etc. in 2007 because I didn't believe in the vf......

No one including the guy from cali. who can't get over probably his one monumental accomplishment in life, take anything away from this time.

Awesome runs backed up and in the books. It's great to see these times run by someone who's so passionate about his Subaru. The true trials/tribulations he's gone through with this car at over 100k.

Congrats and always checking back in every now and then to see all the updates across the community.

Thanks bgod,

Much appreciated. I've been trying to go fast on this small turbo for ever. From time to time, I get bored. I throw a 52-60lb min turbo on, make over 500 on good gas, rip on it, and always come back to the stocker.

Realistic plans as of now:

Find an OG green and go 10's while its still warm. When temps drop this fall, its really game on with the stocker. Like I said, 11.29 in my 07 STi with the 39 strapped on.

If I accomplish these two things, I have nothing left to do. Im not going to waste money on going for 9's, thats what my future GT-R is for.

In terms of the suby (if these 2 goals are accomplished), hmmm, I dont know. I said I would never sell it, and i dont think I will. If someone offers ~13k for the car, lightweight and in race trim, I may consider.

If you ever find an OG green in decent shape, I might buy it off you.

Mikey you have done an amazing job with the vf39. I know we have exchanged a few private messages and I appreciate your quick and insight responses, but one thing I am curious about if why you decided on the fmic and ewg to hit these times? I mean do you think an EL header will help you hit those low 11s? Anyways, to think this was unheard of when I bought my car in 05, I am just glad to see people like you pushing the envelope!

9 sec gtr... I see someone has been spending too much time with Josh @ ImportImage

LOL, thanks man.

The FMIC and EWG are not doing a thing for me. I do have EL headers, maybe good for 10whp, but the same results could be had with the stock intake/inlet/tmic. All the mods are there so I can swap turbo chargers on a whim. I love spool, midrange, and top end. So I need to change snails once every 6 months to year, haha. My recipe this time around was much different.

The edge now compared to last time with the car:

an extra 100-125 lbs out of the car
e85

My tune with less timing, less boost, and a chit ton more AVCS

FFS
LC

No knock control. FFS and LC (no matter what I did) would pull -4 to -11.95* of timing. Same with fast shifts on the stock motor. This is what was killing me back in the day.

**Obviously I tune the car with the knock sensor. Once I can generate 4-5 pulls back to back with 0 knock, I disable the knock sensor.

Oh that makes sense now. Must be awesome to be able to switch out turbos and have everything all set haha.

Thanks dude! I used to drive without my back seats, not because I saved 20 lbs with the seats, but the 200 lbs of passenger weight that made my car feel slow

Considering for sure. Just want to go 10's with a stock location turbo before the season is done, then move on to other things. I want to hit the Poconos on an e85 low boost map and leave the drags behind for a little while.

Ohh, here we go, hahaha. North Jersey GOONING at its finest!!

Good way to start the year guys, It was fun to get my ass handed to me for the first time ever by a stock turbo car. I did not do Mo's 11 any justice by starting in the wrong gear and not brake boosting, while still thinking it was an easy win

At least I tuned both cars, hahahahah.

Next time my head will be right back in the game brosephs
