Work lights? bulb selection help please

Hi guys, so I want to buy a set of those work lights but I need to know what type of bulb to buy. There are a ton of them, what works best for reflecting the spider webs and scratches on paint?

Do you guys that use work lights even have different bulbs or just use the ones that come with the lamp?

I went with a 1000w halogen worklight from home depot. Bulbs included sucked and broke almost immediately so I found the same style bulbs in a phillips and they work great. They illuminate everything.

....1000w halogens (like scooby mentioned) are a good bet but as far as "best", it really depends. Various light sources can reveal different types and levels of blemishes as well as distance of the light source, angle, etc. ....incandescent, LED, halogen, fluorescent, etc. can all have advantages and can depend on personal preference and/or how you use them. IMO/IME, with any of these it is almost always better to view the subject in an otherwise dark environment (or as dark as possible) with the exception of your inspection light(s).

Having said all that, I do most of my correction under 1000w halogens, a spot light and periodically inspect under the sun. ....if it looks nearly flawless when I pull it outside, then it's good enough for me these days. I simply don't concern myself with chasing every random, isolated scratch that you won't see without very close, careful inspection.

I will say that I wouldn't mind a 3M Sun Gun but I'm not about to spend $400 for one. I have been looking at several LED's though.
