Default Broken release bearing

Clutch would'nt work, I cheked and found out my release bearing is broken. One of the "ears" is broken. It unclipped from the pressure plate, I know for sure it has to be replaced, but I wonder if I should replace the full clutch "it's two years old" oem exedy ksb03. It would'nt slip and was in good working condition. I could'nt reclip the release bearing on the pressure plate. Could it be something broken on the pressure plate where it clips, not sure... I will take the engine out in a couple week ends, when I have some time. Any inputs on what could prevent the release bearing to clip in?

If you´re dropping your gearbox, I would replace the clutch... Exedy KSB03 (OEM replacement) clutch kit is not that expensive and it might be worth it to replace the clutch kit and resurface the flywheel...

my release bearing went bad on me too, two weeks ago... i suggest you replace the clutch too, its not expensive, i spent 300 dollars all together including the flywheel resurface, and liquids.

try grabbing the fork and jamming it a few times backwards so that it pushes against the pressure plate. sometimes that can get it to clip back in (unless it is indeed broken as you say)

the ring clip that locks the release bearing in the pressure plate is broken too... think i'll need another clutch kit, and clutch disc is indeed wirn out, i'm not sure how much left it has, but the grooves in the disc, are almost flush to the disc 1/16 and 1/32. Can't remember how it was when new...
