Mystic is nice, although its a bit far. I haven't been there in a while, but my aunt lives near by so I actually got to sleep overnight in the aquarium once. Norwalk is nice too, and not as far.

Sidenote: anyone know where I can get a second key made around here aside from paying the dealership an arm and my first born? I have a valet key that only opens the doors but it doesn't have a chip in it so it won't start the car... Which causes a problem when I want to pick my car up but the keys are locked inside the shop...

You can only get chipped keys from a dealer (any dealer), and can only get them programmed at the dealer in person. However, any dealer can cut the key with your vin #. I bought a spare key already cut from annapolis subaru and saved $20 over my local dealer.

Tits or GTFO!

Who has 'new' brake pads put on their car? I'm a bit disappointed in the feel of mine. I wanna feel how someone else's feel...
I'll touch you if you can provide this experience for me.

What pads did you get? The Hawk HPS are very popular but the more reviews I read the more I see that they're not much better than other pads in the market but cost more. Look into EBC pads. The Red pads are what you want. Look into Girodisc's pads also.

Hawk HPS. With DBA 4000 rotors. They feel 'stock', I feel like I was led to believe they'd have more of a bite then stock.
I'll give it a lil more time for the pads and rotors to mate, but I bedded em and the bleed went beautiful! (the second time haha)

I'm in the market for new pads and rotors for my 4/2 pot setup. Probably going with basic blank rotors and ceramic pads.

Those too... Half tho, SUBARU IS A FUKTOAD AND USES UBERSOFTFUKING METAL FOR A BRAKE LINE BOLT! I stripped the two on the passanger side. (Yes, with with a flair nut wrench.) I gotta mend that one of these weekends...

Don't swap your motor, just swap your car for something newer.

^exactly. do what donzo said...

if you do something more serious with power then you have a lot of other stuff to worry about...especially that old 5-speed. see if you can get a newer car, if not find yourself a wrecked sti or bugeye and see if you can do a full swap...not just motor.

i meant drivetrain, i would do everything, ive been thinking 1. i cant afford an sti so thats out of the question and 2 i dont want to be like everyone else and get a wrx and do the same mods as everyone else, i wanna do something unique, its not everyday you see a swapped obs yano?

Before you swap it, make sure the body is 100% clean, no rust or significant body damage. Then realize that a swapped obs with stock seats, headunit, no body "kit" etc will look dumb. It has to be done right or it is a waste of money.

If you want me to put together my "wish list" for a gc/gf swap, let me know.

If money is no option then get an STi drivetrain, preferably an '06 engine and '07 trans. Going to need to basically swap everything, engine, radiatior, wiring, suspension, hubs, brakes, subframe, steering rack, rear diff and subframe, axles, steering column, etc.

Again, do it right or don't do it. My opinion.

And honestly, if youre looking for unique, swap a forester or an old legacy, hell, even a brat or loyale.

i like the look of my car, i dont like foresters, old legacys etc., my car has some rust but only on the fenders, which i can replace no problem, and bruce you havnt seen my car in a while, i put on rs side skirts, jdm rear spats and aero guards, v5 sti front seats and soon v5 sti back seat, and i have a v5 bumper at home that i gotta repair then im going to get painted, so im prepared to swap in the near future in my opinion
