ordering a hero 2 HD today and I was wondering. Is there any sense in ordering a class 10 32GB card if the battery only lasts about 2.5 hours? I am guessing that the battery would run out before 32GB of video could even be taken. Should I opt for the 16GB instead?

I ordered a Sandisk extreme 16gb for my Hero2 and my brothers Hero2 yesterday. We previously had the original GoPro and had a 16gb one in that one. It was just fine for us. We had the battery run out of the Hero original before we used all of the space for video's a few times (never in the middle of a shot though).

Unless you plan on getting the battery extension pack, the 16GB is more than enough.

i would opt for 32gb. Good for multiple day trips where you have a chance to recharge the battery/camera but not empty out the footage.
