Speedo and Turbo Talk.

My speedo recently crapped the bed. Which put my ECU in to limp mode. At the same time the heater core blew. So I took this as an opportunity to get a robs tune, does anybody know if a more modern speedo fits a 93 WRX?

And my car has a TD04 on it. And I want to revert back to a TD05. The only TD05 I can find locally forsale is off of an Eagle Talon. Are they the same? Will it fit my car. Feel nooby asking. But you know. Lol.

Won't fit.

You can use any speedo cable (ie. early Legacy etc) will fit transmission side and cluster side as long as you use the complete cable (I believe early WRX have a split cable).

the bolt pattern is different on the exhaust housing/collector between subaru/mitsu even thought they're essentially the same turbos (14b, 16g, b16g, 18g, 20g, etc). Subaru is 5 bolt exhaust housing & 3 bolt collector (up pipe). mitsu is 4 bolt exhaust housing and 4 bolt collector.

also in some cases the mitsu TD04/5's have a 2 bolt flange welded on the end of the compressor housing for a "J-pipe". so just be careful what you're buying

Where are you located? I have a TD05H from a v2 STi that is for sale...
Also you should be able to use any mechanical speedo cable for an impreza or early legacy

I'm located in Calgary. How much are you selling the turbo for?
