Question Best 2.5RS Exhaust?

I'm looking to invest in a good exhaust but I'm stuck on which one is best. I'm lloking for good sound and hp boost. I've heard Scoobysport make great exhaust but is it worth importing (I live in Cali). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Asking what the best exhaust is a silly question. You ask a million people and you'll get everybody's opinion. If you truely must rely on what other people think about exhausts, DO A SEARCH. This question has been asked at least 4 times in the last month.

TRUE...everyone has their own opinion.
Maybe the better question would be "What is the best exhaust, in your opinion?"

Also...what do you think about the Scoobysport exhaust?
I've heard good things...

Why don't you search for Scoobysport and see what you find? It'd be a good thing to look in the archives with all that good old info in there.

LaterZ!

Well, ScoobySport exhausts are certainly some of the more highly-regarded and respected.
This is cool! You can listen to their exhaust online. I think it's a WRX version, but you'll get the idea. I have this clip on my PC at startup. http://www.rallyperformance.com/scoobysport1.wav

Brullen has lots of options and are not offensively loud.

Cobb used to just ship Stromung exhausts, but I think they're making their own these days, and I bet they're great, just judging by Cobb's reputation. (www.cobbtuning.com)

Rallispec used to make some pretty loud suckers, but they're definitely good quality. Not sure if they're making the same stuff these days or not, since they reopened for business... but check it out. (www.rallispec.com)

Those're my recommendations. Coming from exhausts I've heard at meets, read reviews on, and things like that. Me, all I've got is the factory-upgrade BroSpeed muffler. Sounds alright, but has 0 performance gain. (Yep, I got duped!)

hey Siper2, thanx a lot dog...that was helpful and the sound clip is tight. Just wish i could hear one in person
On a somewhat related topic...i was thinking of trading in my RS for a Rex, if i do then i really should be looking for a turbo exhaust. Does anyone think this is a bad idea. I also got two infants so my wife suggested the wagon wrx
What should i do?

NowUcMeNowUdont - Here's a review of the iON/Brullen set-up:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=200656

If you're looking for something subtle and that you can choose your own acoustic preferences, this would be the one.

Since You have an '02 your only choices are:
Brullen
Cobb
Stromung
Greddy Evo <---might be realeased someday
Subaru Axle back <---technically it counts

(I know I'm leaving one out but I can't remember it )

Gotta move the hangers around for it to fit the '02

For a last gen exhaust to fit, the hangers have to be moved around and for a wrx exhaust to fit, the front flange has to be rotated.

Just FYI...ANY exhaust (nearly) will fit...as long as you are willing to pay for it to be modified.

I have the cobb exaust on my 2.5 (although I have a 2001, it shouldn't be much different). I noticed gains right away. The engine revs a lot quicker and pulls better to the redline. I also like the cobb because it is not insanley loud. At cruise , it is barley noticalble, but when you step on it, you are rewarded with a low deep rumble. Hope this helps sorry no sound clips

Thanx! That helps a lot. That's exactly the type of performance i'm looking for in an exhaust! The cobb cat-back is pretty cheap too...i believe somewhere between $550-$600, i think!
