Can who? Can you personally? If you have to ask most likely not.

Odds are if your are refering to a pre-96 n/a ssm1 ecu you want to "flash" and put into a pre-96 ssm1 factory turbo then signs point to no. I doubt your local subaru dealer could help you with this either.

I dont even think Rob "flashes" ecu's. I believe that he uses a ROM burner and rechips ECU's (opens them up and puts in new chips).

For 96 or newer with OBD2/SSM2; It seems like it might be possible but I personally dont know.

Hope that helps

Most likely not, because the extra inputs for MAP (and such), as well as extra outputs for boost control (and such) are not present.

If your just talking about fuel and timing, then it is likley - if the knowledge exists. Most of the Subaru know-how is about the turbo ECUs.

Ok thanks for the info guys. I have had a 1996 jdm turbo motor run of a 98 usdm n/a ecu. Just very rough and rich. Timing was completely off. Ran rough until boost. But it was just a thought... Interesting
