Default 2008 Sti w/ AMR t60r

Event: Initial Tune
Location: National Speed Inc. NC
Ambient Temp: 85-90
Elevation: Sea level?
Weather: Partly Cloudy & Humid

Car: 2008 Sti
Tuner: Randy w/ National Speed
Dyno Info: Dynojet
Transmission: ACT Prolite FW, ACT Clutch
Gear: 3rd
Peak HP at RPM: 360awhp @ ~6,400
Peak Torque at RPM: 322awtq @ ~ 5,300
Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: ~270/~260
Target Boost: 19.4psi
Target AFR: 12.0
Fuel: 93 octane
Engine/Power Modifications: AMR T60r, 1000cc DW's, Perrin FMIC, Turbo xs 3'' DP w/ 3'' cut-out, Perrin Cat-back, AP Fuel Rails, CAI.

Still to go on: AP Headers, Build Shortblock, cams.

Other Modifications: Sways, Top Strut, Oil Baffle, Bushings, other little shenanigans.

Headers were put on back order and i was tired of the break in tune. These numbers come on STOCK headers and we also ran out of time. Looking for ~400whp until the block gets in there.

REMEMBER: We ran out of time for the day, so this is just the first graph of many to come (as you can see still have some to work out)

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: New graph, forgot about this thread and forgot to update. Still stock block and stock cams. 19lbs, not 21.5.

I did mine because i've never had a problem with amr and had a considerable amount of parts on an 04 wrx..

also, the AFR will get straightened out. it's mostly between 10 and 12 on the graph though.

cant wait for headers and what not

Aside from the AFRs, your dyno graph looks exactly like mine, except I'm running a 4eat. What are your IDCs at WOT? It looks like there's plenty of headroom in your build if you choose to turn up the boost.

definitely room.. I mean, stock headers, block, and cams right now.. Once i can get a shortblock in and some cams i can take it into the 400's. just have to get there first

Nice numbers man! Yeah thats good for just a short while on the dyno. I like this turbo, i have one on the way right now! For the price with a 3in inlet,8cm hot side, coated and fully ported with oil line and coolant line too all for 1380.00 isnt bad at all, beter deal than the HTA Green id say, and spool the same with more top end. Im running E85 full time too, that should wake the t60r up!

Definately agree with this. A lot of people buying this turbo and posting great numbers. Anybody reach 450 hp/tq with e85 on a Dynojet with this turbo?? With supporting mods of course

Am I the only one wondering why your not make power till 5000 rpm? Those numbers don't seem much higher than what can be accomplished on the stock turbo with your modifications. And power would be made much sooner and with a decent power band. No offense just my two cents.

its not as lean as it appears.

This post caught my interest. What would a 10.6afr at the tailpipe mean? Slighlty richer?

I have 440/440 on mustang or something like that power wise at 20-21 psi with 2 cats on e85. Still changing some things and going back to finish tune. I really can't wait to see the guys who were talking about pushing this turbo to try and get 500 and run em in 1/4.
And you can find vendors selling this turbo for 1200 new.

440/440 is crazy on a mustang dyno! Especially with 2 cats. Takes those cats out and you can easily hit 460+whp with the T60R

Whoops.. I was wrong. Torque on my sheet is only 415. I have no doubt 450 is prob a few pounds of boost away on e85 for most people's setups though.

+1
Even with stock headers and an unfinished tune the curve looks like that of a 35r but with the power of a 20g. and 19psi isn't exactly low enough for the turbo to be nowhere near its efficiency range unless this turbo likes insane boost levels.

Unless of course the timing/avcs/boost tables are completely untouched down low so far and its running on spring pressure or something to that effect.

as i said it was a very rough "powertune" under a short amount of time. Basically the headers were on back order and the initial plan was to tune when i got those, but i got too impatient...

once i get the headers on we will go in and clean some stuff up and hopefully start seeing better/sooner results. Im also sort of taking it easy on the stock block. i figure have 2 blocks that are good just in case one breaks is better than having one break and needing a new one

Im running a T60 here soon, built block and stock heads. AMR un-equal lengths, there pro series 2.5'' upipe. and of course all the other supporting mods, injectors, catless downpipe blah blah blah. From what Im reading 400whp is possible with this turbo around 20psi?

This seems like a high reading dyno as well, Im going to be tuned on tpg tunings dyno, and if Im correct its a heartbreaker.

that thing didn't hit boost till almost 5 grand and made basically 16g power..almost picked up one of these turbos a week ago very happy i didn't. if they made this turbo in a dbb version i guarantee they would be a lot more popular

^also, not 21.49psi.. we had to use a 100lb sensor because the 50 wasn't working. I am at 19lbs. This all came with just headers and cleaning it up.
