Default Bergen County, NJ Wheel Thief Alert

this happened in palisades park nj to my friend's car late last week. this is my old hometown and such ghetto antics never existed. the town is sprawling with cops and is only a square mile in size. it is surprising how easily they jacked the wheels. cops spending too much time not focused on real crime, but more on hassling "law breakers" within town. suburban issues mostly. my guess is this was not a local job but something from the newark or paterson areas... palisades park is right off major highways like i-95, i-80, 1&9, and route 46.

the dicks didn't even use cinder blocks, but some questionable looking bricks...
wheels are oem 370z 19" w/ brand new hankook tires

my friend's thread left on g35nyc about the missing rims/tires: http://g35nyc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43165&page=6.
Quote:
Attention all my New York, New Jersey, Conneticut and Pennsylvania members please be on the look out for anyone selling them. The right sides were curbed due to driving events and just bad roads in new york. I believe the only side that was perfect was the left rear rim. They stole my rims and tires probably around 4-5am today.. The tires I had were brand new! I didn't even get to test them out! They were 255/35/19 fronts and 295/30/19 rears. Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. Let me know if you guys see something shady online or on the streets!

one of the regular members noticed it and pointed it out. anyways the sh-t is f-cked up. these tires cost $850+, and this guy is selling the set for $1200. he knows they are hot for sure. the threads are blowing up...

It sucks, and he is getting nothing from insurance according to what he said on my350z. Hopefully he finds them, but by now I doubt it.

probably because he doesn't have comprehensive. or if he does it is below the cost of the deductible.

Considering how the bolts were just left cavalierly on the floor, wheel locks would only delay them for the amount of time it would take them to swap tools, which is five seconds.

It was about time that Pal Park was bound to get affected by the shenanigans of CNJ.

That was a very good read. Why doenst your friend just go to the cops and say "uhh, this guy has my stolen rims and wheels" ??

Cause this ******* looks like he stole them himself, or wants to just sell them to not deal with this bull****.

@dartharma i am pretty sure he is going to... but i told him i dont think there is much they can or will do. he did tell me that if he put the wheels on his car and if it is the original the tire sensor light will be off (currently it is on)... but i dont think the police can just do it without "evidence"

hope they catch who did it... and I am betting the guy in the thread u posted who is selling the wheels is involved.... I mean no way in hell the same wheels with the same exact tires could have ended up on his wheels and then put up for sale the same week as ur friend's wheels got stolen..... The police should do something about it.
