Have a Nice Day? tiny hesitation at 4500 rpm & lil' shaky idle

hey ap gurus i've been trying to hunt down a problem with a slight rough idle and newly discovered tiny hiccup sometimes at 4500 rpm. wondered if someone could take a look at my ap log to see if anything weird is noticeable?

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spre...ZnSEE&hl=en_US

map is cobb ots stg 1.
no mods except perrin inlet tube.
recently changed spark plugs and fuel filter with no effect.
no change between stock map and cobb ots stg 1
shop said they are pretty certain it's the tune but it does it even w/ stock map so i think it's something else (coil pack, injector?)

just did a compression test - 125,130,123,131 - cold motor. car has 33k miles
what next, injectors? or do i let a shop tune it. if they tune it and it doesn't fix the shaky idle or hesitation at 4500 do i still have to pay them? lol

How about you take that inlet tube off since none of the OTS maps support it and neither does the stock tune... Otherwise yes, you will HAVE to have it tuned in order to get rid of your issue.

the idle issue existed before the perrin inlet tube as well... 100% stock it still idled funky and no change after any mods. that's why i don't think it's a tuning issue...

Check Plugs, Coils, Fuel pressure, Compression, and Compression leakdown. If it was idling funky when stock theres a mechanical issue somewhere...

that's what I'm thinking too 2fast. just swapped coil packs and no change. do you think I should bother with sending the injectors in for test & cleaning? that was going to be my next step.
runs the same with either maf or o2 sensor (or both) unplugged... ruling those two items out.

A more likely scenario is a post-MAF intake leak. I would do a good bit of driving on one map (without changing maps or resetting the ECU) and then check your A/F Learning 1 A, B, C, D values. These are your long-term fuel trims and if you have a post-MAF leak, bad MAF, or bad front o2, you will generally see more extreme long-term fuel trims (well outside of +/- 5%). However, it takes some cruise-type driving for these to be learned since they are cleared when you reflash a map or reset the ECU.

thanks a million for the info Bill, I will for sure monitor this and post the findings. I wonder if it could be a small intake manifold gasket leak.
