Default bugeye+ej257+acvs??

I bought a bugeye with what I was told was a JDM forester 2.5 and an sti 6spd. Well a year in I have replaced the shortblock with a new STi shortblock.

The shop that did the work said that I have STi heads, and so I was wondering what it would take to run acvs (if possible or worth the effort).

I have been told that I would need a standalone and that it really wouldn't give me mush bang for the buck.... just want to fact check I guess.

I also want to know how I can ID the heads to really know what I have.... I want to double check everything on this car now.

Thanks,

-Chris

Hydra or Autronic for controlling AVCS are good ones to go with from what I have read. Go check out this thread, Its AWESOME!!!

Cable. For a daily driver the cost of stand alone just doesn't make sense. I think I will be cleaning the car up a it, and selling in the spring.... fats Subaru just cost to freakin much.

i'll wait and buy something else in the future....
