Default Upgrading to HID's

Hey guys look to upgrade my headlights to some 5000-6000K HID's , Didn't want to buy a ****ty ebay kits so i figured i would post to see if anyone has any suggestions on cost efficient ways for me to upgrade properly.

Also this may be stupid but could i just buy a decent HID conversion kit and install them or would that not be good and end up just wasting me money?
&
If i can just buy a decent conversion kit what would be a few worth looking at.

Any help would be great.

Retrofit> HID PnP kit. I have a PnP kit and it works "ok" for me. Should I have gone with a retrofit yes, but.... yeah.

Theretrofitsource.com sells a full retrofit kit - projectors, ballasts, hardware, etc - for $270 or so. Assuming you have an 06 - 2011 (can't see on the Android app) that's the best cheapest option.

Also, 5000K - 6000K aren't an upgrade as they produce less light in at the visible end of the spectrum.

You would do well to read Handsdown's FAQ (search for it, it's called "Handsdown Illuminating Dummies") and the entirety of danielsternlighting.com.
