Default To replace or not to replace brake pads?

Hi guys,

Around 4000 miles ago I replaced the brake pads on all my four wheels, with Hawk Performance Ceramic ones...

A couple of weeks ago I took my car to a track day, and by the time the race ended, there was smoke coming out of my wheels. I left my car cool and drove back home normally.

However, yesterday I noticed that my pads have some side effects from the race:

1-) There's some melted black material on the side of the bad (I guess is like black paint coming from the plate between the friction material and the caliper piston?). This I don't think is much relevant

2-) Looking at the pad from the side (without removing it), it looks like the pad turned white/gray color. Does that mean the pad "burned"?

I'm wondering if I need to replace my pads again with just 4K miles? Or if that is normal under racing conditions and there's no need to replace them. Braking seems to be good, no problems so far after the track day.

Imo they shouldn't be smoking but it all depends on hard you drove during the day.
Remove them have a quick look to see if there is anything amiss (uneven wear, bits of pad missing etc) if not replace them and if,as you say, normal braking is ok then carry on driving as normal.
