4 bench spots sounds both terrible and interesting. In both of my leagues, i have pretty deep benches with 5-6 slots which allows you to stash guys for the whole season. Having to make real tough decisions is what makes the game interesting.

Maurice Morris or LeGarrette Blount?

They are playing each other. ESPN projects both will get 14 points. Morris looked fantastic against Green Bay even though they lost. Blount has been a little more consistent the last 3-4 games.

That's the truth. I actually like it. It makes it challenging. My other league has 9 spots. Those deep benches make it somewhat boring. Teams hardly ever trade and then they just sit on players.

True..but then it puts the onus on the manager to do a good job drafting and or picking up free agents and waivers etc.

If you dont have a good roster and are complaining that people dont want to trade its your own fault

I just looked at my roster. The only people I drafted still on it, including bench, are Romo, Lynch, T Gonzalez and Akers (obviously all starters). The rest of my team I blew up after starting 1-4.

I'm now 7-5 and have a shot at the 4th playoff spot (12 team league). It's been an uphill battle but I put myself in a position to have a shot.

28 moves this season, haha.

Boom my point exactly at above post. You make the right moves + a little bit of luck with matchups and things can change for the better.

Thats nothing Ive made like 60+ moves to go from dead last to 5th place; with a shot of making a playoff spot (well not likely after DJax failed me last night). Oh and my record is 7-5 too, pretty similar situation.

DITTO.

1st Place is 9-3 , spots 2-5 are 7-5, and Im sitting at 5th, 21 points behind #4 and 56 points behind #3.

I play #3 this week...I took a gamble starting Avant and he F***ed my chances up.... 1 catch ??? Seriously.

I have Rodgers, Gore, and Mbush to make up the points so I have a shot still.

Rodgers is...well he's Rodgers. They could sell out to the pass every play and he'd still get 4TD's.

Gore is going against I believe the WORST run defense in the league.

Bush has been fantastic since taking over for DMC. I'd say he gets 2 TD runs but not alot of yards on Miami's re-established defense.

Honestly I'd say the 3 of them get 60 points combined.

Rodgers is a beast. Hopefully GB vs NY is a shootout. If he can put up 4td and a rush Td like brees did Id be happy

Only thing is though..the guy Im up against has BREES so Rodgers points and Brees points will be pretty close..

I hate to say Murray because the guy I'm playing has him....but I think he'll have a better game. It's a coin toss though.

9 spots? That's ridiculous. I can't imagine it's that much fun when half of the league is being hoarded on peoples' benches. The one league I'm in has six bench positions, but we have restrictions on the number of players at each position that can be held which balances it out a bit, e.g. two QBs, two TEs, 5 RBs and WRs, 2 DEF, etc. Six positions sounds like a lot, but it's really not if you have a bunch of guys injured and/or on bye.

6 roster spots is a good number. Obviously you wan to have at least 1 backup for major position(qb, WR, RB, te) and that leaves just 2 more.

Ugh, I have to plug Alex Smith into one of my lineups because Michael Turner is questionable. FML

Pretty much. Even a mediocre QB should get you 15 pts/game. That's a pretty good day for a WR/RB and a fantastic day for a TE.

I've never actually played with a position like that, I'm not sure I'd like that.

Alright, choices.

Defense:
SD vs. Jax
or
Houston vs. ATL

I think I have to play SD on matchup alone, but I don't know. Not to thrilled about either.

TE:

Gonzalez vs. Houston
or
F Davis vs. Jets

Again, been rolling with Tony G but it isn't a great matchup. Especially against one of my defenses. Leaning towards Davis here.

I personally prefer to play opposing def vs skill players sometimes. The points counteract each other, especially qb vs def with picks. Might not be the right thing to do but it sometimes ends up working out ok.

Also, iirc, nyj is pretty bad vs TE so far this year, but Davis is one of the only weapons Rex really has. I'm imagining Revis on Armstrong and cromartie on Moss.

Ok, changing the question.

Pick 2:
Forte, Murray, CJ1K, Benson.

I currently have Forte and Murray slotted in, but CJ looks prettttyyy tempting. Barber has been stealing a lot of looks especially goal line from Forte, so would i be crazy to play Murray and CJ??
