Is there a crash course video on how to operate yahoo FF?

I thought that the list order could just be changed with a drag and drop, but apparently i'm wrong.

Clearly I have no ****ing clue what i'm doing here.

You should just be able to drag any of your bench players on top of any of your starters and they will be swapped. What are you trying to do?

Bleh, I misunderstood what hatch was saying. I'm just making myself look like more of an idiot in here. I'm just going to skulk out of this thread.

For your situation I would consider Benson over Grant. I'm no expert so don't listen to me without doing some research, but I would probably start that way.
Benson is going pretty low for the ability he has. granted, it is a crab shoot with him due to possible team/league punishment and also the fact thate veryone will stack the box. I def think he should be over Choice any day of the week. Over Grant however, I'm on the fence. Grant is not a good RB (I equate him to Addai) but he will take a good chunk of the RB load.

Yea, you should see the 20 team league. You can start 5 WR's or 5 RB's or 3 QB's(Best option IMO) or 3TE's it's insanity. The talent is pread out so it should be competitive if everyone auctioned reasonably (which they didn't of course) but I'm feeling some 300- 500 point games.

Ah, after reading what I wrote I see what you thought. There's no ordering in FF. As long as they're in the starting line up you're fine. You could have AP in a flex position and Tashard Choice as your #1 RB if that's the line up you want. Won't make a difference in points.

I do this in fantasy baseball. Everyone knows I have Pujols but I also have Konerko. I throw Konerko in my 1B spot and bury Pujols in the flex spot. Two people have called me cussing me out because they thought I made a mistake.

Am I the only one that thought Hillis over performed last year?

Nor do I think the line looks as good. Maybe I'm off base.

Oh, ok. Yeah, I thought you were saying that the order had something to do with how many points I got for having that player active.

As for Choice, I'm expecting to see him perform this year since they got rid of Barber. I think he's going to get more play time to relieve Jones throughout the game. I'd rather have had Jones, but someone already got him. I'm gambling here, but maybe i'm wrong. In fact, it is very likely that i'm wrong.

When he plays he typically produces, but Tashard was rarely the choice out of the Cowboys backfield last season (especially through the opening 12 weeks). As for why, well I guess Jason Garrett liked Marion Barber running for minimal gains, right? Choice can do everything, but isn't supremely talented in any one specific area and perhaps Garrett was always wanting more. Well, that more could come in the form of rookie DeMarco Murray, perhaps Choice's biggest threat either for playing time or even his job next season. Since Barber received his walking papers, perhaps Choice will join Felix Jones as a 1-2 punch in the Cowboys backfield, working as the short yardage runner with the ability to run for longer gains while catching passer. But after he was largely ignored last season, I wouldn't count on it.
I'm hoping some competition will liven him up a little.

You might be right, but for what it's worth, I would put Choice dead last out of the 317 running backs you have. Then again, in a 4 person league, it's going to be a damn coin flip who wins anyways lol

These are a mess of decisions that go deep into the depth charts.

For the first group, I'd take Moss....

But I don't care what Shanahan says, the QB situation will be like Denver of last year- WAS will lose and blame the QB even though it isn't his fault. Second would be Little. He's McCoy's favorite receiver at this point with all the injuries. I wouldn't drop him if I was you. He should emerge as a Johnny Knox type which means he's worth the risk at a deep #2 or early #3.

I'm somewhat kicking myself over him. I took Roy Williams in the draft knowing he was set to be a starter. He has proved nothing would change in Chicago so I dumped him for Little - not big of a deal considering my WR depth in the OT league. This past week I dumped Little for Antonio Brown. I might have only played either of them on an occasion or two, but I hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Either way, I don't like Moss in WAS and it would be a push if I had to drop one or the other.

For the second set... I don't know.

I don't mess with DAL RBs, period. Between injuries and role distribution over the past few years, you never know what you're going to get. Even with Barber gone I don't expect much from Murray. Best case scenario for you would be Felix Jones gets hurt, and that would only put him at the 3rd down spot. IIRC, you're probably a Sooner fan which clouds your judgement. I play the odds- Murray's class of RBs that have graduated to the NFL have all been a bust. IE see Wells and Goodson. I like Dan Thomas in this spot. He's a rookie backing up a guy prone to injury and a senior citizen.

Thanks for the input. I was lost on the WRs and your comments make sense.

And yes, I'm an OU graduate. Funny thing is Tashard choice also went to OU. He transferred to GT after Adrian Peterson got to OU. Aso, I played against Felix Jones in high school. But I agree with the murray comments as well. He's third on the depth chart right now and only has one preseason game under his belt. He was also injury prone in college.

I was going for a WR heavy team. Not terribly concerned about RB but really would have felt better with hightower than Bush.

Your running backs leave a lot to be desired. Wells may end up being good, but he can just as easily be a bust. And I don't forsee Stewart fairing well...Williams is expected to get most of the carries in Carolina. Same problems with Michael Bush and Marion Barber. Barber may actually get some carries though. Bush doesn't look good with McFadden ahead of him and Taiwan Jones emerging.

Your starting receivers are really good, however; all three of them. But you have no depth.

It is a 16 team league though (way too many IMO), so considering that and the fact that you have a great receiving corps, I'd say you have about a 6.5/10. Keep a close eye on the waiver wire, though.

That's about what I figured. Washington to me will be a better-than expected receiver this year, however he has the same bye as Fitzy and Jackson so I need try and get some trade value for him. I talked him up in a proposed trade to get Meachem, is that a good or bad trade? I was thinking to aim higher and see if I can sap someone into a better trade for me...

I'm dropping Barber for Maurice Morris (#2RB @ Detroit) because it seems like he may get more opportunities than Barber. Isn't Taylor the #2 back in CHI?

Also trying to get Lance Moore for Austin collie. Both are good but Moore did more for me last year than Collie, though really they were neck and neck.

I'd be careful with that Detroit backfield, last I heard Jerome Harrison was the backup to Best this year...check on that though. Also, I think Barber could be the #2 back once he's healthy. He had a minor calf injury that shouldn't take long to heal. The team supposedly almost dropped Taylor because Barber was doing great, but then Barber got injured.

Moore for Collie would be a good trade for you. I'm not high on Collie, we'll see this year but I doubt he would do better than Moore.

that only thing that worries me about Moore...is that the Saints throw to everyone..so Moore may only get 5 or 6 targets a game..that may work if one or 2 of those targets are like 40+ yd catches and 1 TD...

Collie was injured most of last year if i remember correctly...

the only guy on the Saints i feel safe about is Brees HAHA

Even the weeks Collie was healthy, it was a complete toss up between him and Garcon. They'd alternate weeks getting 10 targets. Really frustrating.

Now with Dallas Clark back, I'd expect both of their targets to decrease.

Brees likes everyone, so that's why I like Moore. With Manning less than 100% even if he starts, I see him being safe and throwing to Clark like said.

I cancelled Meachem trade, I'll see if I can get someone a bit more targeted for Washington

Nope, just a misunderstanding...

Quote:
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears running back Chester Taylor returned to the practice field on Tuesday and clarified what he termed a "misunderstanding" between him and coach Lovie Smith.

An NFL source said Monday that Smith told Taylor he was no longer in Chicago's plans because of the strong play the team was getting from new acquisition Marion Barber. In addition, Taylor was informed that other teams had inquired about trading for him, but the running back wasn't told which teams, according to a source.

Taylor immediately left Halas Hall, but the team's front office contacted his agent saying the running back needed to return to practice. Shortly after returning to the facilities, general manager Jerry Angelo allowed Taylor to take the rest of the day off.

Smith clarified the exchange later Monday, saying he told Taylor he just wasn't in the plans for Saturday's preseason game against the Titans, not the entire 2011 regular season.

I'm so pissed ... a league I have been in for 4 years now ($50 entry) got a new comish who blows (old one had to quit FF because he has a gambling problem and cut everything out ... heh)

So my draft was suppose to be yesterday at 5PM EST (which is a really ****ty time for a draft, but whatever ... I made time for it). 12 hours before the draft, he changes the time to 7PM EST because some ahole complained he couldn't make it. As a result, me and 3 others (12 team league) couldn't make the new time. So he decides to accomodate one guy and screw over 4. Had to trust Autodraft ... it didn't do a bad job, but not a great job either (I drew pick #1)

and have no idea why we have so many BN spots ... it's always been that way
