The good thing is the Giants should be playing from behind a lot with their banged up DEF giving Eli lots of reason to air out...the bad news is he has thrown 39 INT's in the last two years

I wasn't thrilled with it, but I felt it had to go that way. I'm hoping my WRs make up for the QB deficiencies,

Word on the street is he will get serious playing time this year. Here's a PGH blog about it.

This is for people that think Driver can't play anymore:

Nope, Im thinking about dropping Reggie Bush too. I wanna get all MIA players off my team.

I jumped the gun on that one. Gonna drop him and pick up one of my sleepers. Planning on doing the same to Reggie Bush (drop) and pick up another sleeper.

One of my top sleeper picks, who I will be picking off of waivers.

As for Neek's team, its solid except for Eli Manning like mentioned already. Had him on my FF last season and he killed my FF team late in the season.

It's not even that. Given the new labor deal, Palmer has ALL the power. The Bengals must spend at least 99% of the salary cap, right? So here are his options:

Don't retire, show up to camp on the last day, they have to pay him every week or cut him or trade him.
Retire. Wait for the Bengals to get to 99% on their salary cap as per CBA rules. Unretire. The Bengals must now either cut players to make room for him, or cut/trade him.

Either way, it's a great F U move from Carson to the whole misguided ownership group.

Yea, It's a very smart move on Palmer's side. Can't blame him, though you can say it's bad for a player to sign a huge deal and then not honor it. I don't know the extent of the bad blood between the two so I'll sit on the fence and watch'

It's incredibly hypocritical of the ownership, though. How about the agreement they had with Jordan Palmer, Carson's younger brother? They just cut him and now don't have to honor the contract they agreed upon.

Every year every team cuts dozens of players, voiding the contracts that were mutually agreed upon. Now a player has been treated poorly and outright lied to for year and wants to have that same right to void it out and move on with his career, and Mike Brown has the balls to throw the "Be a man, you signed an agreement, honor it!" in his face. Brown's a joke and the main reason why the Bengals have no future under him.

i'd rather have andy dalton than carson palmer then again, i don't have any bengals on my team. palmer was terrible last season and he'd be coming back to a hobbled TO and a rookie WR instead of ochocinco.

i'd keep bush. seems like the dolphins are trying to use him to create mismatches as much as possible.

True...he could use a legitimate weapon, but I think he will benefit from an improved running game. I would certainly start Cutler over Eli in most scenarios...

Small break in fantasy talk:

Friend of mine bet me a ridiculous bet at the beginning of the year ($20 on whether or not Pujols hits 25HR's or not). Obviously won that one. Instead of taking his money I want to bet him something football related since it seems more interesting. But, i can't think of anything to bet. From St. Louis so something Rams related would be good, he's also a Pats fan and hates the Jets so a Pats/Jets bet would be acceptable too. Thinking about betting him that the Jets have more total wins this year than the Pats or something Bradford vs. Brady related. Anyone have any ideas? It can be kinda out there since he basically gave me a 2am drunk bet against me with Pujols

I love making bets like this. I have a running bet with a guy every year on the Red Sox, this years was Doubles for Gonzo, 40 was the over under, I took the under

8 wins for the Rams - Over / Under
Bradford - 22 TD's Over / Under

If he takes a Jets / Patriots bet for total wins...he would be an idiot...

Do something obscure. Fumbles by Jets RBs vs. INTs by Brady.

My 3rd year in my private league, first year I was able to manually draft. Still a FF n00b though.

It's crazy how big everyone's bench is in this thread, although it would be nice to have a little more of a bench in my league.

What do you veterans think of my team?

You really only have 1 Bench spot...wow

I'm not high on Nicks this year...otherwise pretty solid team. Must be a lot of players on the waiver wire ! Maybe try to package Best and Nicks for an upgrade to either RB or WR ?

I guess the powers that be are not fond of folks stacking their bench.

I was actually too high on Nicks...I passed up Fitz for him. I dropped him early last year and had some weird need to pick him up this year.

how do you deal with bye weeks? that is insane...a roster of 15 is pretty standard.

picked up antonio brown in our week 1 auction...we are given $100 at the start of the season and have weekly auctions. this keeps people from hawking the waiver wire.

would you make lots of roster moves or leave open spots in the lineup?

i think i'd raid the waiver wire until my team was stacked then leave spots open on bye weeks.

You'd have to make a ton of moves but imagine if someone had Rice and Nicks on bye the same week. You either have to leave that spot filled with a guy on a bye or you have to drop Nicks or Rice for that week. You couldn't pay me to be in a league like that. Hope it's not for money.

I'd say honestly with no bench, make one week your trash week. Have everyone who actually scores points sit one week and take that loss if you could. Unless your picks suck to begin with. Then you are boned either way.

Yeah, lots of moves. $40 buy in and $1 a move. I have left spots empty before when I had two guys I couldn't drop that had the same bye.
