Default Few Questions

I have recived a Invidia Downpipe and I have a nameless performace axel back. the Invidia downpipe is catless so if I connect it to the rest of my exhaust I'll basically just be running a resonator. I'm thinking about getting a custom mid-pipe made that has a bigger resonator and a high-flow cat. so my questions are: If I run straight resonator with the invidia downpipe and nameless axelback will the stage 2 tune from the accessPORT work great? or will I need to be pro-tuned? and If I get the custom mid-pipe, will I get more out of the stage 2 tune from the accessPORT?

thank you
SJ

The potential issue with a catless exhaust is boost creep, which is a mechanical condition that causes you to overboost. That is why we recommend a catted downpipe be used with our OTS maps.

What if I put a cat right after the downpipe, will that fix boost creep?

Yes, using a "shorty" DP with a catted midpipe would be essentially the same as using a catted full length DP (as far as boost creep is concerned). It would simpler, though, just to get a full length (i.e. one-piece) DP with cat.

I dont't quite get what you mean by "shorty"? And just to make this clear, If I run the Invidia cat-less downpipe and then say 6inchs to a foot after that I have a high flow cat it will not cause boost creep?

thank you for your help

A shorty DP would allow you to bolt up the factory midpipe with factory cat. A full-length DP replaces the factory "shorty" and the factory midpipe with one piece. If you have the full-length version of the DP, there's no point in fabricating a custom cat section. It would be easier (and probably cheaper) to just sell your catless DP and buy the catted version.
