^^^ This is the exact setup I want to do.

How does it feel (no pun intended)? Do you have any alignment issues?

I'm definitely interested in these dampers pending price. Anybody know of other springs in the 250lb range that would give a drop similar to the RCE yellows? (which are what, 300lb+)

RCE has a new "Black" spring coming for WRX in that range.

I'm going to just copy what I wrote in a different forum

Gotta say I love these. My stock 08 suspension sucks...too soft, lots of body movement in cornering and hard braking. While it was a pleasant ride on the streets, any kind of spirited driving left something to be desired. In cornering it was floaty and there was not much feedback from the road. In the dirt they did good though, but maybe still too soft and I bottomed out quite a bit.

I have these with King Springs on them. While I haven't gotten them dirty I did attack a speed bump or two and these took them like a champ. With the Kings, it did lift the car a bit and they are a stiffer so I don't think I will be bottoming out as easily. The ride is very nice, firmer but by no means harsh. There isn't nearly as much body roll in cornering and pitch during braking and accelerating. I have more feed back from the road and in my steering, took away a lot of the numbness that you get with the stock stuff. I am very happy with these...especially for the price!!!

As for the alignment, it is just a tad out of whack. I haven't taken it in yet though. Just got the car back last week, so it is going in this weekend.

Thanks for the review. Let us (me) know if you have any issues with achieving at least stock alignment specs.

You won't have any problem attaining stock alignment spec with either Feal setup. I have installed them on my 08 STI and the 2011 WRX I codrove this year.

I didn't think I would have any problems. As is, it isn't bad at all.

Thank you for the review "pretendingtowork"!

PM's replied. I am very excited to introduce this damper kit to the public!

I should have all of the parts to assemble the first batch late this month or January.

Look into Swift STI springs. Front/rear - 252/235 spring rate with 1.3-1.4" / 1" drop on the WRX. (front drops more because they're designed for the STI)
This is the setup that I'm going to run when the struts are available.

We carry these, it is good softer alternative.

Power6 mentioned to me that the 2010 STi SE spring set has just about exactly this value; however, I don't know what drop, if any, they'd offer. OTOH, I think the Yellows are rated at 330lbs - they're pretty stout.

Also, I remember reading that RCE was working on a new Black spring set that should be really close to this as well. Worth a call.

If i have an extra set of front blown struts, would i be able to send those in to get the inserts installed? Or are they junk?

I think now the spring choices are lagging behind, at least in the performance arena. So many springs made to preserve the stock dampers, so there isn't much with good rates.

The 320/320 RCE Yellows are pretty popular, and the various STI takeoffs are useful for the WRX (250/297 in the 2011)

I think there are some others out there that might be handling oriented?

I am not sure it is terribly important but the yellows that go with the bills were marked at 330lbs/inch when I got them, that was the first run so he may have changed them, but as far as I know he hasn't. Myles is also making some softer black springs that I am sure would work well with the Feal set up also. I like the 330's though and I drive them on a bumpy country road every day.

My bad yeah that should be 330. I was on the first run pre-order list too but I don't think they have changed.

You would be able to send them in for installation, from my understanding.
