Default Ottawa - shop for Steelies (help please)

Hi, just wondering where to get some steelies for a WRX (i know the 15" wont fit unless you get those rally rims from subaru) wich is a bit expensive for my taste.

just wondering if anyone around Ottawa has a good place to recommend to get steelies (16" if nothing but the suby 15" fit) at a reasonable price

thanks

Most of the people bought them at Subaru Lachute..... They do a big order of steel rims in late August or September (can't remember when) but they get lots and sell lots because they only make $5 per rim....

I bought my 15" steels 3 years ago from them for $65..... I think the 16" were about $70 each.....

15" won't clear the WRX brakes. A bunch of last year got the steelies
from Lachute as a "group-buy". The prices were as Robin posted. The
15" ones were mostly Forester take-offs. Give Julien a call to see if
he can set you up, or better yet, try and organize another group buy.
There must be a bunch of new owners since last fall who'll need winter
wheels.

Cheers...Stu

The 15" won't fit over the caliper on the WRX..... so 16" is the only option unless you go to a 15"x7" rim.... but the 15" steel are only 6" wide....

For the steels at Subaru Lachute, call them up and ask them..... they do the big order every year..... Usually, they take down the peoples name and phone number and what they want in steel rims..... It's a service they do for their customers.....

I don't think they'd have any right now in stock but they do get ready for winter....... and order lots of steel rims.....

99TS rims are alloys but they are 15"x6" rims..... The only 15" rim to fit over the calipers are 15"x7"..... and these are usually Rally rims.... and they're more expensive than 17" rims....

I got a message from Subaru of Calgary last week that they have 16" steelies in now, and on sale at $90 each.

Really? Let me know how much for a set of 16" steel rims.

I'm still toying with the notion of someday shelling out the big bucks for 17" OZ S.L.s but until that day, I can't really justify mutilating my 16" stock rims in the winter.

Dave.
