I agree have a closer pic of the wheels. Is that flat or a gloss?

I had no idea plasti dip would turn out so well on rims. I might have to do these on my winter set.

Did you just spray the gold glossifier over the silver wheels or did you spray them black first then use the glossifier?

Where are y'all ordering from? I know dipyourcar and amazon carry them. One of my local ace's carries lots of black but only two cans of each red and white. No blue and no glossifiers.

i plastidipped my stocks just because i was tired of staring at the horrible stock beat up wheels. I sprayed them black, been holding up for about 3 months, holding up pretty good, hasnt peeled one bit. This is only till i save up for new wheels

I ordered the rim kit from dipyourcar. Ran about $45. Not bad.

I did three heavy coats on each wheel though so maybe that has something to do with it.

How many cans did it take for all four rims? or is there a kit one could buy?

Mine took about 2.5 cans, but you can buy kits and different colors at dipyourcar.com. they also have some good tutorials to help you.

Not sure about those, but when i did mine, about 3 or 4 coats. i used about a can per wheel while spraying most of inside as well.

I think the thicker coats you make the better.

I appreciate that.. Its 4 coats.. And the last statement was correct. The more coats the better it looks. Not to mention the easier it is to take off.

Has anybody tried laying a base coat of plasti-dip, and then painting over that with a rattle can?
