Learned more about it...

Something kept the tails and corner lights on today, but its a 2013, so no parking light switch. Did about a million searches on here before I went outside and double checked the headlight multifunction stalk. It was off but for ****s and giggles I cycled it on and off, and sure as **** they are off now, whatever... stupid car

Watched an older couple close the deal on a black 2012 Audi R8 for 138k from wilsonville audi. Makes me sick knowing people out there actually have that kind of money burning a hole in there pockets.

I got this and added the ZR 4 laser shifter. Lasers are getting cheaper, I got hit with a Laser gun from a Canby cop. He gave me this funny look because he hit me 3 times.

That's why they have the cutoff switch. You're supposed to block the first laser, slow down, then allow them to laser. It makes them less suspicious.

It's legal to have one. I don't care if they are suspicious. Nothing they can do about it, as long as I don't leave the state.

I finally installed my sub and amp to the oe system. Its just a 10" fosgate and 200w amp, so nothing over powering, just complimentary.

Anyhow, I installed on my OXT the COBB DP I posted about getting coated, a turbo blanket, trimmed the bottom outside of the OEM heat shield off and reinstalled. I also made some adjustments to the TMIC bracket to give a little more clearance underneath. I must say I really don't like working with the OE donut gasket.

Or just not speed in the first place, stay within reasonable limits and save all that money on detectors. Shocker I know.

I usually just take a video clip using my Droid, upload to Youtube and then insert the youtube video link using the little globe/paper clip icon. pretty easy really!

Can't have a single radar detector post without one one self-righteous ass trying to make everyone feel bad for the one time they're not watching the speedometer and go over the speed limit. Considering we all drive cop magnets, why would't we want to know when they are setting up shop to pull us over?

That said, I have no radar detector. I know that laser shifters aren't illegal, but a cop can find any reason to pull you over. Once there, a ticket can materialize from any little issue with your car. Once you piss them off, they can be a bit of a pain to get to leave you alone.

Well today I got my Blizzak LM60s put back on for winter and the wife had her Blizzaks put back on her 2011 Outback as well. I also did my 15k mileage service but due to having the winter tires on and a short force I take it was simply a cabin air filter and oil change.

Let them do their worst. I'll take some chicken **** ticket over a speeding ticket any day. I don't drive drunk, carry drugs, or have weapons on me. My lights aren't tinted, and my paperwork is up to date. I don't have a loud exhaust or ridiculous lights on my car. I say bring it.

A laser detector is no more likely to get you pulled over than any of the things above. The only cop that will notice me is one with a laser gun, if I don't turn the jammer off real quick. That loud ass exhaust gets noticed by every cop. It seems the pro's far out weigh the con's. No tickets versus an extremely slim chance he may pull me over.

I am by no means saying not to use a shifter. I was just saying there is a strategy to it. First laser attempt warns you. Slow down to the speed limit, then hit the button to disable the shifter. They can laser you all they want when you are at the speed limit.
