No prob. Ya, there are a lot of cars signed up. I am not even sure if they have a reserve list because of the solid response. We will probably go up Sunday to help/spectate but are not participating in the event this time around.

Yep. Aaron C, Dan and I started Synergy together in 2006. We bought Dan out in 2009. Aaron C and I have been running it ever since.

So I figured other subie people would get a kick out of this. The other night I was sitting in my car on Water St charging my phone and some girl walks by saying, "Oh my goddddd! Really? That wing on that car is so rediculous and big. I can't believe the person would put that on. Oh my god...." Maybe she should learn about cars and they way they come from the factory.

Then today getting gas an old guy walks up and says "That is one wild looking car! What is it? Is it rwd? Wow that is wild! I would be scared to scratch it". And then proceeded to walk around the car and eye **** it.
Who else has some interesting responses to their car?

are u in WAI or SCCA? I believe they are both racing this saturday.
WAI will be running the event, but It will be both SCCA and WAI event. If you are racing that day, I'll be working at the gate when you enter the site. I'm driving a 2011 White WRX hatchback, I'm in all wheel drive with D-Stock index. You can catch a ride in the morning when I run, if you want.

had a dude gawk at my car on the highway for like a mile. we proceeded to get off the highway together and then he decided it would be cool to drive right next to me and have a conversation about my car. a few 'sick, bro this' and 'sick, bro that's later and i finally got him off my back. he was surprised a base impreza could look so damn good.

supposedly had the same model in the same color a while ago and his mom just got a 2011 sti. cool.

I've stopped at a gas station and had a group of 4-5 12 year olds gawk at the car and tell me how cool it was and asked me if it was turbo. As I was leaving they asked me to floor it when I left.

It draws a lot more attention since the wing and wheels went on. Nobody noticed me before other than other wrx/stis

I see a lot of you around the city and the area. Here's a couple shots of my '05 STi WRB. Mostly stock, but I did the SPT cold air intake, SPT catback, RCE black springs, SS brake lines, DBA rotors, Hawk pads, Kazera winter wheels wrapped in Dunlop WinterSport 3Ds, and BBS golds wrapped in Dunlop Direzzas.

I thought that was you, so I posted the picture for fun. I can remove it if you are feeling incriminated

The '05 STi is a great car. It has held up great for me since I got it almost 7 years ago.

As long as they aren't denting or scratching the car I don't understand the outrage.

In this case its a photoshoot so clothing would be picked so that its not something abrasive and there are areas of the hood that would not dent under that kind of weight. I assume if you're taking the photo you're also telling the girl where to sit. In the photo they each probably only have one cheek on the hood and the other on the windshield, so there's hardly any weight on the hood. So with advanced planning you can pretty much avoid any damage to the car. With that being said I have zero photos of my car with a girl in/on/around it and I don't aspire to.

Now if you're some random person that happens be sitting on my hood or feeling up my car now we have an issue.

On semi related note, we never got to do the photoshoot last weekend due to me getting separated from the pack and just heading home. I'm still up for it if anyone wants to. I'd like to keep it to just a few cars, anything more than 3 or 4 and it becomes a pain to arrange them.

Haha, I wanted to say that too but it was my first time I didn't know how to react. I would probably say no one sits on the car next time ahead of time :-)

when are you planning to do this?
I was told foggy (no sun) days are better to take better pictures cuz of low contrast. I might be wrong tho. lol

I never even touch my paint with bare hands let alone have someone sit on it. Nick can attest to this also.

Needs to be a weekend day probably between 3pm and 6pm. I prefer days with sun a few hours before sunset. Cloudy days usually end up muting the colors in the pictures. I'd be willing to try night time shots but I haven't done a lot of low light shooting and the tripod slows things down a lot.

Here's my only real attempt at a night shot

Here's an example of the light I like working with:

My host compresses the images so they are a little fuzzy
