We always go to mexico for out footage. Guess no one should post up snow drifting videos either, that sucks.

No offense to all but I see this and it doesn't shock me at all. It's what happens with big bars on street cars. Any bump just wrong and it will throw the car into a slide and out of control. In all honestly why possibly lose your pride and joy to a light pole or a guard barrier because you tried to be ken block and take a corner faster then posted.

Moral of the story really is save it for the track. Go do a track day or go do autox. Where you are able to push your car to its limits much more safely.

This is true. But you have to give ken block credit he's doing what most of us wish we could do.

I didnt post the video with the intentions on receiving compliments. Rather show 1st hand the reality of driving on the street like a retard. I would consider myself a calm driver and responsible hence why i felt horrible i had 2 other people in the car. I dont know why everyone is jumping on the "im mature and this video is dumb" bandwagon. Gixxxer you make a good point about the autoX and i agree i would love to try it this summer. But to everyone else, in no way am i flying through turns on purpose attempting to drift into the pole just to clear things up.

agreed, even driving normal at the posted limits that sorta of thing happens.

thats how i hit a curb this winter. there was nothing i could do to prevent it.
tried to goose it to prevent the car from smashing to hard.
was a simple right hand turn @20 mph. hit a patch of ice (at night) that simple.

Well you brought it on yourself. When you want to check out an autox come on down. I'll be at every Milwaukee scca event this summer. I'm running an 05 STi in ASP.

Too many people use it incorrectly and sit at the light for 10 seconds bouncing off the 2step. Yeah that will cause crazy high EGTs and engines don't like that.

Lights start to fall.. bring up the revs.. brap brap brap brap, green!

The negative responses to the video spinout surprise me. I bought an AWD car with 300+hp and ultra high performance, dedicated summer tires so that I could have fun driving my Subie. I push it on cornering regularly and appreciate the video as a reminder that all cars/tires/weather combinations have their limits. The fun is to get as close to the limit a I can without going over it.
