Default can a compression test tell you about a spun bearing

I recently purchased a v7 swap and on the first road test it started knocking heavy, fresh gas and right away? Why when I asked the jdm importer they just said it must have been installed improper, any thoughts

Did you check the timing belt tensioner? Cause when I got mine it did the same right away and it was the tensioner and it can mimick a knock....just some food for thought.

Fresh timing belt seems fine, mechanic says it sounds like a rod bearing

You need to tune that thing. US gas is nothing like what that motor needs from the factory.

took it out today, oil is fine its the crank bearing all i have to say is to hell with total jdm, everything i bought off of them was garbage, which led to delays on the project thus passing my 30 day warranty, brembos were chewed needing new wheel bearings and and pads and rotors, as well as they shipped them studs to calipers scratched to ****. then there was the matter of the 5 speed drive shaft they sent me for my version 7 swap, and finally today after surveying damages a litre of oil in the turbo. conclusion= total jdm totalled my summer project that i have yet to drive. and cost me $4000 dollars im sure others have had better experiences with them but as for me im a 25 year old nurse not some punk kid which is what they treated me like when i called them. i did not apreciate there arogance nor their assumption im a hard core rally racer i even tried to explain to him that i had a reciept from the day before for my drive shaft shop drive shaft, and when i asked him how i drove it with out it he told me to go eff my self. worst jdm experience ever
