Thanks guys. I can not explain how much I appreciate the kind words.

I can not wait to have both of these two cars on the road. The Cosy block is in transit and Boosted's car should be on the road by Tuesday/Weds. It will be nice to deliver both before the Christmas break! (fingers crossed)

Thanks again! I hope your shoulder is healing up nicely! If you have any questions about the surgery or rehab, let me know...my background is in the med field...specifically sports med.

John

I wanted something a little larger than the HTA68 (although it is a great turbo w/incredable spool) to possible creat less cylinder pressure and get a little more efficent. This is the billet wheel with the STS 9-blade exhaust wheel which is rated to give faster spool?? We will see.

The Akuma team is one awesome group of people and have been nothing but 100% supportive of my build helping me along the way and dealing with 1 million requests, questions and last minute changes etc. (5 spd build to 6-spd transplant, coilovers, big brake kit) top notch bunch, the guys in the back have helped me all along the way as well it is a family atmosphere and I could not recommend better tuner, PR-team or mechanics!

It very rare that you go to a shop and the owner is out in the shop tweaking, talking to you and guiding you. They have never ever over-sold me EVER! As a matter of fact I had to push things that was a little extra and maybe not 100% necessary!

They are even going out of their way to help me with several other things in regards to my build that a common business would shun away from.

I am now recovering from major shoulder surgery and they are nothing but helpful. They update me constantly and want to get my STI back as soon as humanly possible. If it were not for how genuine and helpful their business ethos are and just how good they are as human beings I would have not been able to accomplish my needs at ALL!

Here is my build:

Cosworth short block drop in
Clean and redeck heads
FP HTA Green
DW 65c
Kartboy short throw kit
FIC 900cc injectors
TGV deletes
Gauges
So much more to list...

If there is anyone you need to take your ride to its Akuma. Its that simple.
Hi! This is 561wrx I have been a fan of ur trade ever since I saw it, and I think I sent some kind words to u before. So with that said I'm sorry if I gave a bad impression by sounding very condescending.

The intake is mine and it is a work of art! John and team are amazing, never ever disappointed with this team. Now the Tristate area suby/Evo etc. need to get down to Akuma and check out the custom work that is going on there.

I will be powder coating it red (of course) and will rock the Akuma logo on the pipe in the same location as the current one! Welds are perfect, mandrel bends seamless construction unreal!

Now that John posted, I will update my thread! This is SICK you have to see it in person, clears all types of FMIC piping

The intake is actually the first of the run.

We are releasing that and a few other products this/next week. The CAI will fit all 08+ WRX and STI. We will have a version for the Perrin FMIC as well.

The kit will include a K/N filter, silicone reducing coupler, and the intake main unit. The intakes will be offered in wrinkle black, and silver(polish or brushed). All Akuma products carry a lifetime warranty. (covers manufacturer defects).

The intake is made from 6061, mandrel bent, 3" (73mm ID)Aluminum tubing. The kit has placed the MAF in such a manner that tuning is very straight forward.

We will supply a location on our web page that tuners can download a MAF curve for the intake on the appropriate model year.

I will have a full press release in the beginning of next week.

Thanks everyone!

John

Do it Do it Kapp, custom maps, long intake runner prior to MAF for good drivability!! Lets support our tunner and get ball rolling in our community.

Or a thought John, we can run a comparisson between the two after our breakin and tune session wiht mine and or Kapps new setup!

Yes I want to do it but it depends on a few things.

I think it would be good data from the cosworth short block compared to stock. Also when we tune for high power we can see what it makes over the ksx or whatever. But if I remember correctly the shop car has a long block with the intake so :P

I'll talk to john/kev tomorrow so I don't clog the thread.
