Yesterday we got quite a nice surprise. A red Lambo Gallardo. It was here to have strait pipes installed, check out the pictures to see how it went!

The stock mufflers are ****ing huge!

Compare the stock to this strait pipe, he saved a good 30-40lbs in the exhaust alone

We can leave it at this, the car left a whole lot louder than it already is was with that bonkers V10 and The customer was very pleased with the results!

Couldn't be happier with my car. John and Kevin gave me exactly what I wanted without trying to sell a bunch of "fluff" parts like other shops tried. They ended up saving me near $3k. The Blouch 380XT is amazing! Thanks guys!

We have a big update for you guys today! We're doing some TGV Delete, Port, and Polish. A front mount intercooler for a 1993 Toyota Supra that is close to flawless. We got some more stickers getting cut out in a bunch of different colors and also getting more work done on the Shop Time Attak STI

WEEEE!!!!!!

This is the car were doing th TGV Delete on

Cutting out stickers.....Very redundant.

Xluben, we are actually working everything out right now with them and they are being very helpful with the whole issue, I am 100% sure the Akuma team is going to make everything right and get my car back to me ASAP.

I have seen a few cars on other sites as well as this one with the exact same issue on #4 so right now we are chalking it all up to a manufacturing defect and crossing fingers, yes a little frustrating, but they will figure it all out.

As soon as everything is set I will post pics and the solution etc.

Lets just straighten one thing out right now, I dont think Akuma has done nothing wrong in my eyes at all. John and Kevin have been trying to get everything solved with my car and this is one of the crazy things I am delaing with owning this car (and yes questioning even keeping it). I have been comparing builds with Ben since I got the car. We went a very basic route with the build and will figure it all out.

I asked Ben if he had ever seen this failure and yes I was "pissed"(very very) over this happening and Ben was very surprised to see this type of failure at the boost levels and power and turbo combo (as was Akuma). I consulted Ben due to his build, not the other way around.

Please no one jump the gun, lets see how all this turns out and is just another learning experience for me and owning a Subaru.

I wanted to add some commentary about the cylinder wall failure we saw in a 2011 WRX that had forged pistons and a brand new 704 Casting from Subaru. This is a trend we are seeing in cylinder 4 in some of the newer castings from Subaru. I am concerned there was a metallurgical defect in the new OEM block.

You can see below Phil Grabow has had a few of these failures as well. His car is pushing well beyond what the WRX we had, but it is a very telling coincidence....

We've suffered two block failures at the cylinder wall this season. This had never been an issue in the past as we've pushed 700+ whp on stock blocks but something has changed with the OEM production 704 series Subaru blocks. Cylinder liners are now failing at 550 whp. I hadn't noticed this for about a season as I had been racing in my NASA TTU trim which is only 495 whp. It wasn't until I started turning things up for the Whelen TT championship and Global Time Attack.

The above picture was the first failure we experienced at Road Atlanta. This motor had about 1 season of NASA racing on it and was running like clockwork.

Our WRX was only pushing 23 PSI on 93 + Methanol. There was no knock present, the turbo was just starting to work. Very interesting.. The other 3 pistons/cylinders are pristine. We are now a little more concerned about the new castings from Subaru. Here are some pics of the failure we saw.

Obviously not nearly as severe as Phils', but it is still a failure none the less

Below are pictures of the cylinder #4 piston. As you can tell there are no ring land issues, pitting, cracks or signs of detonation...
