Just sent my VF39 to them the other day for a rebuild with their 7/7 billet wheel. i'm looking forward to comparing this vs other 20g turbos since the performance facts are pretty similar. I have been experiencing a slight lack in communication as others have noted, hopefully it all works out in the end.

**edit**
Jonathan responded to me earlier after a 1 day delay, turbo was recieved and is being torn down. No real lack of communication as i noted earlier, 1 day isnt bad.

Just out of curiosity did you order an already built turbo? Or are you having one specially made? ie) coatings, porting, anything special...

I'm having one specially made but I spoke to Jonathan before ordering and he assured me that I would have the turbo by today. The car is my daily and its sitting there waiting for a turbo so now I'm kinda screwed because now even if my turbo comes in next week I won't have the time to get it tuned for a few weeks. It's really disappointing, this company could be really successful if they improved customer service and turn around times.

I pulled my turbo off and I think the culprit was a kinked oil return hose. Fixing that issue and bolting everything back together and I'll post up how it goes.

So I fixed the issue that was causing my turbo to burn oil and she runs really good! I have to get it tuned before any real amount of boast is thrown at it. I ran maybe five lbs on my basic tune and I am so anxious. These guys come highly recommended,, wait times and all.

It was all installer error on my part. There is a hose that connects the oil drain from the turbo to the block that I cut too long and upon install it kinked from being too long. When I pulled the turbo it was obvious. I recut a new line, reinstalled everything and she drives perfectly now. Not a bit of smoke anymore.

Did you know 6 weeks ago they were back ordered on their CHRAs ?

I've gotten email responses from Jonathan within 1-2 days when asking about things. They are a small shop, be kind and respectful to them when you call or email and give them some time. Kindness and respect go a long way...

They are great and their quality is exceptional. However, I wouldn't recommend them if you have a time constraint

I didn't and I asked politely a few times via email to just let me know what was going on I got a response week 2 saying it would ship that friday then nothing since then started emailing at 3 weeks when I didnt get an info no response since then so I know it was the right email. Sorry guys but for me bad customer service. Bad experience. Now I get a email saying it was shipping the day after my rant 2 days later still hasnt left their shop.

As an update, my turbo has been running perfectly with no problems. I've put about 55 miles on the car and I have only put a small bit of boost through it as I am only on a base map right now.

You can't rush quality...rushing quality leads to crap.

With that said, I can't wait to get my VF48 back from these guys.

Not gonna lie a little bummed my turbo has been delayed twice. Delayed due to billet compressor wheel production, which I think they outsource. Jonathan has been pretty good at responding, could be better but could be worse. I'm now 2 weeks behind schedule, but I anticipated a long wait. Will post once turbo is received or delayed again.

I will be comparing my six star speed 18g to my old Blouch 18GXT as soon as I get the car on the dyno Tuesday.
