whats the benefit of going to an 05 trans? just curious, i was sort of in the market for an 06/07 one for ease of swap. im still leaning that direction.

Are you willing to sell the rear differential separate? I have an 05 r180 with the 3.90 gears I could work a possible traded too.

The 04 and 05 parts are a lot more accessible from my experience. I dont have the rear end anymore. I have come to find that I was wrong about the final drive for the 06 sti trans. it has a 3.9 final drive just like the rear I sold already.

the rear diff on the 06 sti is 3.54, a 1.1:1 center diff, and a 3.90 front diff...so yes the final drive is 3.90, but because of the 1.1:1 center, the rear has to be 3.54 to keep things from binding

I just found a 3.54 rear end so if someone doesn't jump on it I'm going to keep it.
