It amazes me that people with Diabetes, which is so incredibly manageable these days, still don't do what they need to do. Terrible loss; my thoughts go out to his family.

He probably passed away from ketoacidosis in his sleep; it's a common cause unfortunately. Again, sorry to hear of this loss.

His lifestyle didn't help. We all knew this was coming some day, we just figured it would be another 20 years.

This isn't how we are supposed to go out. Its supposed to be a big fireball blaze of glory.

We are too ****ing young to be going to each other's funerals.

I got the call too this morning Dave.
Great guy that built three cars with me. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone. He will be sorely missed.
RIP Mark.....

The second Rick said "I have some bad news" I knew it. I didn't want it to be what he said next, but I knew what he was going to say.

Same, he helped me with some parts when I was in a jam, the kind of guy who knew an awful lot about everything Subaru.

WOW, that sucks....such a nice guy.

One of the first folks I ever met in NESIC....without even knowing him, he invited me over to help work on my first Subaru, no questions asked.

Guys like that are hard to find!!

RIP Mark, only met him a few times but they were memorable ones.

My first MA Nesic encounter was up at one of the big garage days in Danvers, between Mark and Rick those guys were everywhere helping everyone. I was hooked.

Yes doogdog.

This is terrible news.

TMS / Davenow really kicked off the DIY community and Subaru modding/Tuning for the NorthEast as an OG. My condolences.

Wow, this is terrible news. TMS was one of the first people to really help me out at the very first garage day I hosted.

I remember that his overall attitude about any kind of modification, be it straightforward or unusual, was "You want to do that? Sure, it's been done or I'll figure out a way. Or bend the metal to my will to make it happen."
