Took the Subaru to the track today for some fun. The car had gone 10.9 with a best mph of 131 before with the owner but today I wanted to have some fun with it.
Event: Quarter Mile Location: Orlando Speed World, in Beautiful Orlando, Florida. Ambient Temp: 94* Felt like 104* Elevation: not a lot Weather: Humid Track and Conditions: Concrete Tires: 10 year old BFG Drag Radials Car: 2002 Subaru WRX Tuner: Jay Meagher of Real Street Performance Dyno Info: DynoJet Transmission: 05 STI 6 speed with Rallispec Close Ratio 5th gear Peak HP at RPM: ~550whp Peak Torque at RPM: n/a Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: n/a Target Boost: 32psi moving to 28psi in 5th Target AFR: n/a Fuel: C16 Leaded Engine/Power Modifications: 2.5 Hybrid with 2.0 heads, JE Pistons/Eagle Rods, Crower 272 Cams, Custom RSP Turbo Kit utilizing a Turbonetics 6462 Ball Bearing Turbo, AEM EMS Tuned by Jay Meagher ( Stock intake manifold, stock Exhaust Manifold ) Driveline Modifications: 05 STI 6 speed with Rallispec short 5th gear, DSS Stage 5 axles, ACT 6 puck clutch Suspension Modifications: Eibach Lowering Springs Other Modifications: Car is full weight + cage. Weighed 3380lb with me in it. If it seems high is because I'm a big boy (330) Was pretty happy with how the day went. The clutch went out but it has lasted over 4 years so it is time to change it anyway. Car has made 600whp but ran it at about 550. Enjoy the video

The pole was in the way on the first and what I assumed was the best pass |

10.97 @ 125
DA was like 2500 today, super hot out but JC managed to drive it well enough to get it in the 10's If that car leaves like it should, it will go very quick. |

Quote:
I'm using the 20 amp as it's just a single pump, and yes it's turned all the way up. It only has one set of 1000cc injectors so much over 34psi it's outta injector also. I need to get off my ass and do the fuel system. I haven't figured out what path I want to take with it as I enjoy driving it around on the street. In a perfect world I'd add a second fuel system running good gas under boost and pump driving around. The other thing is it makes 530ish (SAE)dynojet on 31-32psi but wicks up to 580ish (SAE)/600STD at 34-34.5 psi. I just don't have to fuel to support it safely. It's also got the "wrong" gearing, I'm pondering putting 07 gearing in it. I've just got other hotrods that need time, my stickshift/small tire low 9's Mustang is close to being able to race again and I just put a 3.4 in my Supra so the Subi isn't as big as a priority as it should be. Hell, I didn't even go to the track with the guys yesterday. I just hate to see the Subi sitting... Thanks Jay Meagher |

I always wondered how much power it would take to tip 10's or 9's. Great job guys
My best was an 11.2 @ 127, 30r - 485whp/497tq Last edited by Exec809657; 09-14-2011 at 06:07 PM. |
