Default reverse manifold 20g for fmic

According to some calculations, the turbocharger I aim to use is going to test the intercooler I am using.

I am wondering if anyone has any information on reverse 20G setups. Pictures would be great, or tips/cautionary info.

I am prepared to go to parallel fuel lines.

I'm interested in seeing a few reverse manifold setups as well. How is the IACV dealt with?

sorry the post is confusing, there was no mention of the intake manifold, only the turbo.

tons of posts on here about rotating the manifold

from what I've read it's pretty straight forward, need to extend a few things, you can even keep the AC if you want.

although how much benefit really it is? the cold-side is right behind the radiator which is super hot air.and really the couple feet of extra pipe to reach to the back isn't going to rob you that much power or boost time.

I don't think the throttle body will clear the hood.

you'd be surprised how much clearance there is. I had to raise my power steering reservoir about 1.5" and hood still closes fine.

We are doing a reverse cosworth intake manifold on my 06 STi. So far seems to fit really well, a little tight but the hood closes. We might be pushing it with a Forester engine cover to hide my mods (I live in California ). The whole idea is to reduce spool time more than any hp/tq gain. We are doing a rotate twinscroll EFR 8374 and hope to have over 600whp+ with a low spool time for 38lbs of boost (Fully Built Block with E85). Should be fun when it is done.

The early EJ20G puts the throttle body 3-5" further back in the car than any later manifold (EJ205/207/255/257 etc.) When flipped this will put the throttlebody 3-5" further forward than an equally flipped later motor. This is why the hood clearance may come under fire.

I think the angle is what will hold me up, rather than the distance. The car in question already has a cut hood for EG clearances, so some more is not an issue.

I want to wait to actually drive the car with the 20G first, then start major modifications
