Default dash conversion

hi i have a question....i have a 1998 legacy outback...and i want to convert the dash from a 2002 wrx impreza.....now i did a search and nothing came up on this conversion...is this possible? and if so what will be necessary to get it done....the car was fitted with a 02 wrx motor and all the wiring including the cluster....i want to complete the set up....any help will be appreciated...thanks.....also not sure if i posted in the right forum...but it did say conversions

It is possible, but there is a massive amount of work required (firewall mods, a/c is all different, etc) and it will never fit 100% (base of the windshield is different, needs custom door cards, etc). ECS did one a few years ago and swore they would never do it again.

Why do you want to convert to an 02 Impreza dash anyway? There is nothing about it that makes it inherently better than the Legacy dash.

The only real reason to do the dash is to make a swap a lot easier but yours is already complete so there is no reason to go through the hassle IMO.
