Exclamation EVO VII will not be sold in the U.S.

Ok folks here is the official word.

The Mitsubishi EVO VII will not be available in the U.S. Thats it end of discusion.

I read about this in the new Super Street Mag. I then Contacted Mitsubishi's U.S. Marketing manager and was told that the report is true. They have decided that the Eclipse sales are adequate to suport their performance nitch and the U.S. is not ready to support the number of sales needed to make this car feasable.

WHATEVER!!!!

So looks like you WRX folks are safe this year. Of course in a couple of years you better watch out for my STI !!!!!!!

Have a great one fellas and gals.

04-12-01: Very Important! We all know that Mitsubishi might be bringing the EVO VII over to the US and we all know that Subaru is working on bringing the STi WRX over here too. If you don't know that, then read this: yes, they are planning on it. We have all read R&T, C&D and Motor Trend magazines, so for God's sake, PLEASE STOP POSTING ABOUT IT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD. It has been posted like 100 times already.

Thumbs down

Geez guys, if you want one, just go import a real one. We waited for Subaru to bring over the legendary WRX and look what we got! If we wait for Mitsubishi, we'll end up with an EVO VII with the Eclipse's V6 and rear drum brakes.

Well.. whether it's about the EVO coming to the US or not.. it's still about the EVO.. and frankly..a lot of people are tired of it.
